Hi.  Im coming to Miami to watch the Marlins.  How are the 200s row 1 by the plate?  It is better to be close downstairs?  Opinions?  Thanks.

Come to think of it, I haven't been since 2019, which is crazy to think about.  I wonder if they've put anything where the Taste of Miami section used to be yet?

I also get the reasoning since it's never open, but it's still funny to me that the upper deck was never renovated to match the lower 2 decks when they did the redo.

Obviously COVID affected 2020, but I haven't felt like spending time/money to watch an ongoing dumpster fire the last few years.

I guess to closer address the OP's question - I've only sat in the second deck once - it was between the press booths and the suites.  I enjoyed it, you get a nice view of the whole field.  But I typically would rather sit closer on field level/the lower bowl.

I had tickets for OD21 but ... well, I documented why I ended up not being able to go and thus why I ended up effectively boycotting attending through 2022.

I've been to Pro Player, Dolphin, Dolphins, Landshark, and Sun Life Stadium, and also Marlins Park and loanDepot park.

Taste of Miami section is currently closed off but it will soon be the home of the Marlins museum that they'll be pushing as part of Flashback Fridays.

Damn I forgot about this. I'll have to check on this if I can the next time I'm there. There's has to be plans to get it done eventually though not a priority but it would be so weird if they never do that.

Interesting and not a bad idea.  I wonder if that'll be permanent.  I always found it strange how that section was completely separated/hidden away from the rest of the park.

Yeah, the only reason I know is you can see it from the other side of the park when in the home run section.  I've actually never sat in the upper deck.

I too would think they'd want it to match, but also understand why they wouldn't want to spend the money if it isn't being used......on the flip side, it just seems cheap NOT to update it.  I figured they'd have updated it the following season after the renovations (i.e. the lower deck renovations were the priority to get done, upper deck could wait).  But it's a bit ridiculous if they've still not been done.

And it's not like it's never used. It's closed off often but sometimes it's still opened up.

I really like the club section , section 210 I believe. Great view of the skyline. Nice view of the field. a Bar and concessions right behind you. But get any seat and walk around. There isn't a bad view in the place unless you sit behind the "Mariachi" band.

Mind pointing me in that direction? I'd like to know why. I have been there once since 2018? 2017? I went during a throwback game against the padres, then last year for one game against the Mets. They were letting anyone in the "clevelander" area during the telecast from left field

I think it was opened for big events/games as another option. If I remember all of those stands in there were leased by the restaurant owners and made no money. Leases probably slowly ran out (ten years would be 2022 from 2012) and they just closed it. I thought it would be great for a museum or another game used stand with more interesting items.

If I'm remembering the right story, I think there was an issue with refunds for something (perhaps for an overcharge or something?), and they wouldn't budge at all.

I wonder if those concession stands are even open when the upper deck is open, or if they tell people to go to the main concourse?

Bought a ticket package that had three games, three tickets each, with Opening Day included for 2021. Waited for ... about six weeks and still hadn't received my tickets.

Ended up getting in touch with them and it turned out those tickets were given to people who chose those seats for season tickets and thus my tickets effectively disappeared.

I was given "store credit" effectively. Total cost of the three games was about $280. I was given back just $190 in that credit because of "ticketmaster's fees" and thus "that's why we recommend you buy directly through us." (The promotion for those three games was linked directly to TM to buy them, so ... what do?)

I then checked and that "store credit" was then ALSO subject to fees, so I went from originally buying nine total tickets to being able to only buy seven total tickets in the cheapest seats.

Thankfully my bank was understanding about the situation, said "that really sucks" and canceled the charge entirely so I got my full refund in the end.

I would have lost my shit. Unless u buy at the actual ticket window at the ballpark I don't think it's possible to buy it unless through ticketmaster.
