 So this is his weakness I guess and it's been exposed with the pitch clock thing. No chance for him to gather himself and just pitch so he throws wild garbage and this is the result.

I think he's putting more pressure on himself this season because of that CY Young. He'll come around.  He's too good not too.

I don't think the pitch clock has anything to do with it.  He's usually a fast worker regardless.  It's his location that's been the issue.

Either way. I stopped watching. They ain't coming back from this. Watching the Rays now.

Pitch clock does though because he has to keep pitching without taking a few moments to step off a time or two and slow himself down again and collect his emotions. 

And just like that I tuned in and rays have already scored 3 runs against Manoah. Man they look good this year.

Yeah, but that goes for everyone.  It should affect pitchers that usually work fast,  less than others. At least I would assume.
