January 4, 200422 yr Um.....considering that this team was coming off 3 straight 5-11 years... making the playoffs itself was overachieving, especially when done with basically the same personel. Expect this team to improve even more next year. What you saw was hte media trying to build this team up. This team lacked a constant pass rush and running game all year....did anyone REALLY expect them to get far in the playoffs?
January 4, 200422 yr Author they werent very overrated what you just saw was the better team winning i dont no where you have been all year but the only 4 good teams which they played they got dominated by. TB Bucs- 17-0 Pats- 12-0 Eagles 36-10 Fins 40-21 The Only good team they have faced of which they beat was the Panthers and Eagles at the beginning of the year when the lions could have beat them. Plus they were both at home.

January 4, 200422 yr *yawn* the only teams differing between the cowboys and the eagles were detroit and arizona. the cowboys went 2-0 in those games, philly 1-1. all other opponents were the same. both philly and dallas lost to tampa and new england. philly was able to beat the dolphins which the cowboys were not, but their loss to the 49ers evens that out in some ways. next. remember philly got blanked by the bucs as well.

Did you forget Philly beat Green Bay at Lambeu? Did you also forget about New Orleans? Also they beat Carolina at Carolina, which seeing today Dallas couldnt do. Philly also won 9 games in a row which Dallas couldnt do against a weak schedule.

January 4, 200422 yr Any polls that feature The Term "Very Very Very", I can't take seriously I think it was meant as a joke with the so many very's but also just to talk about the cowboys and how they just got lucky with their schedule given to them and really had no chance of beating anyone in the playoffs. Not to take anything away from Parcells or the Cowboys because you still have to play well to beat bad teams because anyone can beat anyone on any given Sunday but to be honest they had nothing on offense and an overrated D (yes just like the Dolphins )
