January 4, 200422 yr I can see the chargers taking Sean Taylor to Shore up the defense. Or a QB in Eli Mannning
January 4, 200422 yr Author the first debate we can have is: Who is the best RB in the draft? Chris Perry Height: 6-1 Weight: 228 lbs ATT YDS AVG TD REC YDS AVG TD 315 1589 5.0 17 42 366 8.7 2 Steven Jackson Height: 6-3 Weight: 229 lbs ATT YDS AVG TD REC YDS AVG TD 322 1396 4.3 15 39 419 10.7 2 Kevin Jones Height: 6-0 Weight: 209 lbs ATT YDS AVG TD REC YDS AVG TD 265 1494 5.6 20 10 136 13.6 0
January 4, 200422 yr I dont see the Chargers taking Sean Taylor a Safety with there first pick. The Chargers have a lot more problems than one player can solve. I think they either draft Eli Manning or trade their pick for maybe 2 middle 1st round picks or something of that nature. I dont think a Safety is worth #1 pick status especially since you need pressure up front for a Safety to have chances of making plays but thats just my opinion.
January 4, 200422 yr Author SD is a known "scared" team when it comes to the draft. they do not like taking QBs high after the Leaf thing so i expect them to move down and pickup some linemen. and i like K Jones because of his speed and big play ability but Chris Perry might be the best all around RB in this draft.
January 4, 200422 yr Author SD, PLEASE trade your pick to Miami. and who would they take o great predictor?
January 4, 200422 yr SD, PLEASE trade your pick to Miami. and who would they take o great predictor? You tell me.

I Agree Drew Brees is still 24, they may want to give him another couple a years with a better line. and If LaDanian Tomlinson put up the numbers he did with the line they have, the team might want to improve it and make him even more dangerous. And I Believe Chris Perry is the best all around RB, even though he had a couple of tough games (26 yds agains oregon) he had a great year overall ( 8 100+ yd games, almost 2000 all-purpose yds)

Marty is just being very stuborn with his playcalling ( like always ) and the fact that Boston was injured alot this season hurt Brees' development. SD will trade down.
January 4, 200422 yr Author Sproles is better than Perry and Jones maybe in college but do you honestly think any team would make a 5'7" 175lbs kid the MAN of the team? hes not going pro anyway. LOGIC
January 4, 200422 yr Jackson is the darkhorse. People underestimate him. I also like Tatum Bell for a 3rd round pick or so. He will be a good back in this league.
January 4, 200422 yr Payton wasnt even that great of a COLLEGE back..... Take off your Hurricane shaded glasses.
January 4, 200422 yr Author Payton will be a 2nd day pick. he has some talent but like Adolf sais he wasnt a great college back.
January 4, 200422 yr he barely even played before this year because of injuries and depth. if he gets drafted he'll really have to battle just for a spot on the roster
January 4, 200422 yr Payton will be selected, some team will give him a chance because of his name. IMO the best back in this draft is Kevin Jones because he just does it all and he flies. Chris Perry is not far behind, however. And a dark horse for first pick could be Big Ben from Miami of Ohio (I'm not even going to try on the last name). He is just that much of a stud. This all, of course, if San Diego deals it. For the Phins at 20 I think we can draft Phillip Rivers, an offensive lineman or two, Wilfork will be there, and maybe if by some cag he falls we could draft either Roy Williams or Big Ben, but it is going to take a miracle for either of those two if we don't trade up. My top 10 so far (no order): Manning Winslow Fitzgerald (I think he will be granted permission, since he was in High School 5 years) Roy Williams Big Ben Taylor Jones Reggie Williams Gallery Starks
January 4, 200422 yr I dont think Jarrett Payton will even be drafted, he wasnt even a good college runningback and if by chance he gets drafted it will be in the 6th or 7th round and probably because of his name. But most likely scenario is some team will invite him to camp as an undrafted free agent.
January 4, 200422 yr For the Dolphins they need a QB... Eli Manning Rothlesburger (whos the kid from Boise State?) Phillip Rivers The Fins may have to trade up to get a shot at a good QB. Manning will be a first 3 selection pick. Rivers though is the QB I'd take after Manning. Packers need another WR to compliment what we have and also a Strong Safety.
January 4, 200422 yr Kiper's Top 25: 1. Eli Manning, QB, Ole Miss 2. Roy Williams, WR, Texas 3. Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Miami (Oh.) 4. Robert Gallery, OT, Iowa 5. Sean Taylor, S, Miami 6. Kellen Winslow Jr., TE, Miami 7. Will Smith, DE, Ohio State 8. Reggie Williams, WR, Washington 9. Shawn Andrews, OT, Arkansas 10. Steven Jackson, RB, Oregon State 11. Kevin Jones, RB, Virginia Tech 12. Jonathan Vilma, LB, Miami 13. D.J. Williams, OLB, Miami 14. Ben Troupe, TE, Florida 15. Karlos Dansby, OLB, Auburn 16. J.P. Losman, QB, Tulane 17. Will Poole, CB, USC 18. Philip Rivers, QB, N.C. State 19. DeAngelo Hall, CB, Virginia Tech 20. Dwan Edwards, DT, Oregon State 21. Jake Grove, C, Virginia Tech 22. Ricardo Colclough, CB, Tusculum 23. Chris Perry, RB, Miami 24. Dunta Robinson, CB, South Carolina 25. Vernon Carey, OL, Miami Source: ESPN.com -- The Bengals are going to go defense at 17. Obviously, things are going to change before the draft, but right now I'd say they'd go Karlos Dansby if he's there. If not, they go Will Poole or DeAngelo Hall or Chris Gamble, who declared after this list was made (although I'm not sure he makes it anyway). Marvin Lewis and staff are coaching the North in the Senior Bowl, so he'll get to see a good number of guys close up. The Bengals got Chad Johnson because of this, Bob Bratkowski was on the Steelers staff and coached him there, then went to Cincy and basically told them they had to get that guy. It's a nice advantage in scouting.
