January 5, 200422 yr so now your backing down :lol Gamble will not be a better pro. you know how i feel about V Tech ( i hate them ) but i know talented players when i see them Gamble is a very good player but Hall is better in more areas. but its all opinions... Nah, I never said Gamble would go before Hall, and if I did, well I didn't mean 2 :lol . Hall has maxed out his talent, Gamble is still getting better. Gamble has more size, better hands, and better stamina than Hall. I think Gamble will be better, that's just my opinion. You have the right to foolishly think Hall will be better than Gamble if you want to though :thumbup
January 5, 200422 yr I'm very happy that Michael Turner's stock has been going up this year, and if he has a good combine, hopefully he will go in the mid portion of the 2nd round. My guess however is that "The Burner" will be a late 2nd rounder.
January 15, 200422 yr Author acording to a washington article the skins are very interested in K2 or Taylor at the 5 spot. but things can change very fast...
January 15, 200422 yr Author Taylor would be perfect for ATL but they may be looking for a WR for Vick...
January 15, 200422 yr Author Taylor can do everything, i will be happy for him as long as he doesnt go to the Redskins. THE ENEMY!
January 15, 200422 yr I wanna trade down to about #3, and take Gallery (CHargers). I say #3 because if its any lower, he would go to the Giants. Gamble has a crapload of talent, but is one of the most raw players in the draft. He has great size for a DB, and after a couple years as a nickel back, he could emerge as a top-tier guy. Hall could make a more immediate impact, especially on special teams, and has physical qualities that you cant teach. It's a crapshoot as far as i'm concerned.
January 15, 200422 yr Its become crystal clear the Packers can draft a QB in Rd. 2., probably a Josh Harris (Bowling Green) type guy (hopefully). They need a Strong Safety in Round 1. But Sean Taylor will almost guaranteed be gone by the time the 25th pick rolls around. So that leaves.... Stuart Schweigert (Purdue) Brandon Everage (Oklahoma) Madieu Williams (Maryland) Donte Nicholson (Oklahoma) Jamaal Brimmer (UNLV) --- if he comes out So that leads me to my question is Brimmer coming into the draft this year? Because Brimmer and Schweigert are my top guns at SS outside of Sean Taylor.

Because Brimmer and Schweigert are my top guns at SS outside of Sean Taylor. Not sure on Brimmer, however tomorrow is the deadline for underclassmen to declare, so we will know soon enough. I like all the names at SS you mentioned. I saw Madieu Williams in person this season, and he can play. He'd be a great player to have. Stu Schweigert I saw in person in 2002, and he also is VERY good. Everage and Nicholosn are good, but i'd stay away from them simply because they were at Oklahoma, and I wonder if they is as good as they seem, or if they benefitted from Bob Stoops system. Brimmer is very good, my guess is that he won't come out, but we will see. Also, Josh Harris I saw in person twice, and he is a very underrated QB. I don't even think he will get drafted as high as the 2nd round, but we will see. I like him as a QB a lot.
January 17, 200422 yr if miami stays at #20 wait for rivers or losman or maybe even dinwiddie. If none available then a WR or a DT. I would really like to see miami move up a little in the draft to have a tremendous shot at a QB. A miracle if we trade high enough to get Eli manning. He is so awesome. I think he will be better than Peyton. I can feel it.
January 17, 200422 yr Kiper's Top 5 Corners (ESPN Insider) 1. Chris Gamble (jr.), Ohio St., first round -- Terrific physical skills and decent ball skills. Was not a full-time corner until this season and needs to refine his technique, but his athletic ability combined with some coaching could eventually turn him into a great NFL player. 2. Will Poole, USC, first round -- Did not become a starter until the third game this season yet turned into an elite cover man who led the Trojans in interceptions and pass breakups. Has a keen understanding of positioning. 3. DeAngelo Hall (jr.), Virginia Tech, first round -- His combination of strength and speed is impressive for a cover corner. Also excels as a punt returner. 4. Dunta Robinson, South Carolina, late-first to early-second round -- An underrated major-college standout who did a great job this season in coverage and has outstanding toughness. 5. Ricardo Colclough, Tusculum, late first-early second round -- Exceptional small-college corner who had nine interceptions and is also an excellent kick returner. Has good size at 5-11, 189 and 4.45 speed in the 40 but needs to get a little stronger. -- I don't know how much you guys buy into him, but barring combine changes, I'd bet Gamble goes before Hall. And speaking of which, I wouldn't be surprised if neither of them run there anyway. As for Phlub's safeties, only Schweigert is projected to go in the first or second round. It looks really thin there: Kiper's Top 5 Safeties (ESPN Insider) 1. Sean Taylor (jr.), Miami-Florida, top 5-10 overall -- Taylor is the prototype Pro Bowl safety. He could become the best safety in the NFL early in his career. 2. Stuart Schweigert, Purdue, first-second round -- An interception machine and outstanding centerfielder, Schweigert has been a thorn in the side of opposing quarterbacks throughout his career. Has good size at 6-2, 209. 3. Bob Sanders, Iowa, second or third round -- Has moved into my top 25 overall, and were he two inches taller than the 5-8&189; he checks in at Sanders would be looking at a mid-first round slot. Very strong and should run the 40 in the 4.35 range. 4. Will Allen, Ohio State, second-third round -- An excellent athlete with corner-type cover skills but not a headhunter. Good size at 6-1, 193. 5. J.R. Reed, South Florida, third-fourth round -- An outstanding player with good ball skills and great feet, Reed could even be tried at corner in the right scheme.
January 17, 200422 yr 3. Bob Sanders, Iowa, second or third round -- Has moved into my top 25 overall, and were he two inches taller than the 5-8&189; he checks in at Sanders would be looking at a mid-first round slot. Very strong and should run the 40 in the 4.35 range. I'm telling you Phlub, Sanders can play and you can probably get him in the 3rd round. That's the guy you want.
January 17, 200422 yr Come on Dan, get Big Ben! That dude can ball. If the 'Phins get him, you should be very excited.

January 17, 200422 yr here are a few of the descriptions. 20. Miami Dolphins:? Michael Clayton, WR, L.S.U. Chris Chambers emerged as one of the elite young wide receivers in the league in 2003 but no one else really stepped up on the other side to compliment him. With great size and athleticism, Clayton is a big reason Louisiana St. was co-National Champions this year and looks to be a solid first round pick if he comes out as long as he can post a respectable forty time in workouts. If his times are sub par, however, Clayton could fall to the end of round one. The Dolphins could also consider a young signal caller such as J.P. Losman to develop as a backup plan in case Jay Fiedler isn't able to take the team to the next level. 1. San Diego Chargers:? Eli Manning, QB, Ole Miss You can certainly make a case that the Chargers have more pressing needs than a quarterback but the golden rule of the NFL Draft is that unless you already have one you don't pass on a potential franchise signal caller. Drew Brees failed to step up in his third season and I think the Chargers actions spoke volumes about how they feel about his future when they continued to start the 41-year-old Doug Flutie despite already being eliminated from playoff contention. Eli is actually more physically gifted than his brother Peyton, with a stronger arm and better athleticism, not to mention being a true field general. I expect the Chargers to get a lot of interest from teams such as Arizona and Pittsburgh who would love to move up for the chance to add a quarterback prospect of Manning's caliber. 3. Arizona Cardinals:? Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Miami (OH) Thanks to their thrilling last second win over the Vikings in week seventeen the Cardinals dropped from the #1 overall pick to #3, possibly costing themselves a chance at the franchise quarterback they so desperately need. In this scenario Arizona is fortunate enough to land Roethlisberger, who many rate as on par or even higher than Eli Manning. This guy was one of the most underrated players in college football this past season and has everything you look for in a star quarterback, including a strong arm, ideal size, pinpoint accuracy and sneaky athleticism. Jeff Blake proved he isn't the answer and while Josh McCown played admirably down the stretch his long-term potential is questionable at best. Needless to say, if the Cardinals are lucky enough to have a shot at Manning or Roethlisberger they had better jump all over it. If the quarterbacks are off the board they may look to guys like Tommie Harris and Will Smith who would strengthen their porous defensive line. credit: http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/
January 17, 200422 yr Michael clayton is really good but would like Miami to get a QB agreed. eli and big ben are good enough to start this year. i'm hoping losman is good enough, too. free agency looks awful.
January 17, 200422 yr Michael clayton is really good but would like Miami to get a QB agreed. eli and big ben are good enough to start this year. i'm hoping losman is good enough, too. free agency looks awful. Well I think miami should really try to go for it this year. Go after Losman or Rivers but if they don't want to then get Michael Clayton. Also why not go after Keyshawn and if Brad Johnson is cut go after him. Johnson not cut then maybe Brunell who I don't like very much. I don't really care if they don't get a QB in FA but if they do then they don't really have to draft a QB. Also need help on the offensive line big time. Defense is just fine. WIN ONE FOR MARINO.
