Jazz hurt again?

Featured Replies

Sounds like he came out as a precaution but he said after the game it was nothing and he's fine. Didn't look like much. He said he didn't want to hamper the team or make it worse so he came out of the game to be sure everything was ok.

And I'm not defending not hustling but these are the kinds of moments that I can imagine makes some players weary of, how do I say this, "over-hustling"?

There's no excuse to not hustle to first on a pop up that could be dropped... but is it worth risking your health to beat out a double play?

Didn't it's every hitter's obligation to beat out a double play !?

Yes it is. I'm saying I can see how many players might think it's not worth the injury risk on "routine plays" on "random days".

There's no excuse to not hustle on any play. If you're playing scared, you shouldn't be playing at all. How many times have we seen a fielder misplay a "routine DP" and end up only getting 1 out? That's not happening if the guy running isn't hustling.

I knew this would bring me some heat.

I'm not defending it.

I'm saying it would not shock me if many players see plays like the one Jazz got hurt on yesterday and think those plays aren't worth hustling for.

You may be right about that, but those players would be wrong.

Was jazz dogging it on the play yesterday?
