January 12, 200422 yr dood all u gotta do is dribble a ball with ur foot, pass and score? how creaitve is that? Can you do that? I bet you couldn't even get the ball where you want to even if you pushed it with your hands! doesnt matta if i can do it or not.. point is its not as 'creative' as the little boy who told me its the most creative of all of teh sports says it is. Because you're an idiot, arguing with you is futile... You just can't comprehend. If you hate soccer... Why are you posting on a Soccer thread? *what an idiot*
January 12, 200422 yr Author i think ur a littl e bias dood. most creative? lolol dood all u gotta do is dribble a ball with ur foot, pass and score? how creaitve is that? lolol how bout football and all those plays and baseball and all the diff pitches and plays i think ur a lil bias dood. it is certanly the most creative and i stand by that ... football they call your plays, basketball you have your plays , baseball you hit and you go from there. meanwhile in soccer you have to vision where your players are and what they are gonna do, you are running foward expecting a pass from behind you... plus its such a large field so the possibilities are endless. put it this way, if you watch a good soccer game ... it will beat the best basketball, baseball or football game you've ever seen. Trust me there are some boring soccer games but that happens to every sport ... but its usually because of the lack of creativity, in other sports its the lack of skills ... hence basketball games when the score is 65 - 62 WHOOHOOOO how much fun when teams are shooting 32% from the field. I wish u could sit down and watch a classic soccer game, it might change your mind, for some odd odd odd reason its the most watched, played, and most diverse game in the world theres only 3 things u dont need a language for music , sex , and soccer !!!!
January 12, 200422 yr Author All I'm wondering right now is will Mathis actually show up for THe U.S. in 06? I believe Mathis is 26 ... so he will still have a chance to be there, most likely play since in the world cup you need that experience. either way 2006 ... ITALY is back on the top

January 13, 200422 yr Because you're an idiot, You just can't comprehend. *what an idiot* plz dont bash me or else i will report u to authoties. thank u
January 13, 200422 yr what im sayin is that its boring because its not as creative in being entertaeing. its even more boring than hockey but at least hockey has fighting and some other stuff. More or less you're saying soccer and hockey is boring because the lack of scoring? Is a 3-2 match any different from a 21-14 football game. Imagine if soccer gave fractions of goals for missed scoring tries like football does with field goals. Would 4.2-2.4 be any different from a 30-17 score? Or a 3-2 baseball score? Is a no-hitter not the most exciting thing in baseball? Watching the defense hustling to every ball and hoping that it will go on. Same in soccer IMO.
January 13, 200422 yr baseball doesnt score taht much and i like it the best. its just the overall game of socer is boring and hockey too.. plus they are forein sports for the most part. im american and baseball is american. american made sports are the best.

January 13, 200422 yr btw.... san antonio has now officially entered to try and secure an MLS expansion team in either 05 or 06 to play in the Alamodome. could be fun.
January 13, 200422 yr Author . im american and baseball is american. american made sports are the best. .... good ol' american boy no wonder the world hates us ... and im not saying that cuz we are powerful
January 13, 200422 yr plus they are forein sports for the most part. im american and baseball is american. american made sports are the best. i dont like soccer either but your an idiot
January 14, 200422 yr In one year alone, the MLS contracted out of Florida completely. Obviously soccer's supposed 'popularity' isn't all it's cracked up to be. The Fusion nearly got to the championship the year before they were contracted, but it didn't matter.
January 14, 200422 yr Speaking of soccer ramp, I believe your alma mater has a pretty powerful soccer program. In fact, a kid I played high school soccer against goes there now, I think. Either that or he's over in England playing, can't remember. Anyway, his team beat us 19-0 (yeah....we weren't very good) and he was one of the best players in New York State in High School.
January 14, 200422 yr Soccer will be popular in the states in another ten years just watch!More kids are playing soccer than ever before and with the emergence of team USA as a respectable team,it will only help the sport grow.
January 14, 200422 yr Author Soccer will be popular in the states in another ten years just watch!More kids are playing soccer than ever before and with the emergence of team USA as a respectable team,it will only help the sport grow. It just wouldnt reach the beuty and the frezy that goes on everywhere else ... they'll be good no doubt, USA could be number one at everything, but it will never reach the levels and history like elsewhere
January 14, 200422 yr I think it has the potential to become a favorite sport. Once more kids get into it and grow up into it... We will have a solid Soccer base in the US. I wouldn't think it will ever get to the level of Football (it shouldn't be called that ) or Baseball... But it will get a solid fan base and the US has the money to support a good team in the world cup... Hell you guys could buy any player if you wanted too... Plus, you have a huge "farm" in South America.
January 14, 200422 yr with hockey falling in terms of popularity, and with the impending lockout, soccer has a better chance than ever to be the #3 sport in America. well unless you consider NASCAR a sport, then its probably already 3.
January 14, 200422 yr I don't see fascination with Cars doing 500 laps.I'll rather watch a bowling match than NASCAR.
January 14, 200422 yr i am simply stating facts. if you consider NASCAR a sport, rather you like it or not, then its probably #3 easily in this country in terms of popularity.
January 15, 200422 yr Author doesnt matta if i can do it or not.. point is its not as 'creative' as the little boy who told me its the most creative of all of teh sports says it is. please bro ... since you dont knwo you cant talk ... ask the whole WIDE world and they'll tell you its the most cretiver .... shiiiite ask peter gammonds and he'll prolly tell you teh same thing ... its not my fault your ignorant.

ONE .... ONE game a week on ESPN2 ... thats completly lame and uncalled for, ESPN deportes shows em all ... but instead of showing more soccer games they go on and show the 1994 strongest man competition ... or 1997 woman billiards ... thats completly stupid. they could make it a sport here, but its gotta start on TV

They always go for the well tried out stuff. The won't "risk" putting up an entire season of Football (or soccer ) if it means they "could" lose ratings... TV it's all about ratings Catch and for now the sports that give those ratings are NFL Football, Basketball and Baseball (although it declined significantly). Don't expect them to change their ways any time soon. They will never put soccer on TV as we would like it, unless they knew a lot (I mean millions) will watch.
January 15, 200422 yr I wouldnt be shocked to see NBC try soccer if MLS actually got their act straight and did something about marketing themselves properly. what does nbc have now? the olympics. notre dame football. a few golf tournaments here and there. a little bit of NASCAR. it could be a good gamble.
