January 9, 200422 yr id have to say this is a 3, because there are better sites than the orange bowl and the parking is really up in the air but i give it a 3 because it is really the best plan so far (actually in miami) and it has close proximity to metrorail, a plus for me...
January 9, 200422 yr We'd move from one football/baseball stadium to another. I think we're overly desparate to get out of the Pro and we're letting it affect our judgement. From what I've read/understand, the OB is no better than King's proposal, and due to parking problems and neighborhood problems, King's proposal may even be more attractive because we get a roof and sole use of the stadium. I gave it a 2.

January 9, 200422 yr We're not talking about having a football/baseball stadium anymore. The new plan is to build a brand new baseball stadium adjacent to the Orange Bowl. Since we'd get our own stadium, I give it a 4.

January 9, 200422 yr I am going with 3 because I am not thrilled with the design at this point. The land is available, but I would like to see a more creative vision placed here. But, the homeless cant be choosy, and I am happy with something at this point.

We could set aside money to get a roof attached in 5-10 years when it becomes a little more fiscally viable. That is my thinking at least - but it is understandable that the Marlins want a roof now so they can maximize revenue. This seems like a solid deal - the further along it gets, the better of we are.
January 9, 200422 yr Author remember one thing: this orange/fish bowl would be in the middle of a latin community that alone would do wonders for attendence another thing that would definitely help attendence is ticket prices, which will prob go up because we need the $$$. expect higher ticket prices but nothing too outrageous (see: boston)

There won't be a team here in 5-10 years without a roof. And the cost of a roof a decade from now would be double what it is today without the revenue stream during that time to build it.
