John King over Pete Fairbanks with the game on the line is particularly rich.

I think not having Fairbanks pitch in the Detroit series and not calling fastballs to Dom smith of all people are pretty significant own goals, not being impatient.

Nardi also should have faced the lefties but the big issue was not getting Fairbanks any reps in the 6 days he was back.
