In the last 15 days, Marsee has the 4th highest OBP on the team (min 20 PA). The obvious leaders are X, Hicks, and then Otto.

If you put no PA qualifier it actually goes Leo Jimenez, AUSTIN SLATER, Stowers, then X.

Wait…did Otto just appeal his swing on a ball call just to have it overturned into a strike because the 1B ump said he swung?…

I honestly think that Paddack has gotten a bit unlucky this year. He has done better than his era would suggest. Not to say star level, but his underlying metrics say servicible starter. But he is 100% at the bottom of the SP totem pole to me. Honestly 6th behind Brax. Only reason why he is ahead of Snelling is because he is unproven.

Also for all the ragging Ive done the past, shit, 10-12 years lol I gotta go on record and admit, this is the first season I’m actually excited about the team and actually paid the marlins.tv subscription and have been watching. I don’t expect them to win the division or even make the postseason really, but I really do think they’re on an upward trajectory and the roster is built much better than it’s been in recent years.

I think paddack might benefit from going to the bullpen and becoming a max effort 1-2 inning guy. He definitely should be the odd man out when Garret comes back

I would move Paddack and Junk to the pen tbh and call up Brax and Snelling at some point to fill out the rotation. But who to let go of in the pen? I know that Bender and Nardi have underperformed, but the stuff is still good and they have performed well enough in the past to warrant patience. Micheal Peterson has performed well enough to stay in his role. King, Bachar, and Phillips have pitched really well. Fairbanks has been fine outside of the start and the Atlanta blown save. And as much as I hate to say it, Faucher, who I always feel nervous about, has legitimately performed over the last 3 seasons.

There just is no room unless you want to trade or release someone. And Murphy's Law says that the moment we do that, 2 or 3 guys are going on the IL.

Removing Junk in this situation is what managers with a losing mentality do. I hope it doesn't come back to bite the fish today. Clayton is a really bad manger. He has no feel for the game at all. It's all done by a spreadsheet.
