So who’s gone at trade deadline? They have so few good players is the problem lol.

If bender stats nasty should fetch us something ok. Potentially could trade Philips. Fairbanks definitely gone for someone to eat his salary. Sandy gone. Maybe someone wants hicks?

No one currently on the 40 man will be here for the next competitive window in 2036 so might as well load up on 19 prospects in A ball.

Yeah. I mean this was a very predictable issue the pitching depth which is why the weathers trade and paddack signing so baffling

I agree that they should have signed someone better than Paddack. However, we have enough depth even if not proven. We had Garrett, White, Snelling, and Gusto in AAA as depth. That's nine guys. They also knew that converting Phillips was an option, so that's 10 deep. Heck we can even throw Fulton in there and that's 11.

The fact that Paddack sucked and had to be DFA'd really hurt us. But, we've also lost Eury, Junk, and Snelling to injury and Garrett can't throw strikes all of a sudden.

Even now, Gusto, Fulton and hopefully Garrett can step up and hold the fort down until Eury, Junk, and White can get healthy.

Remember, you've repeatedly stated that they never really planned to compete this season. So, why spend money on an expensive FA signing or two?

Luckily, Eury and Junk injuries aren't serious or even arm related so that's good. The silver lining is that we'll get to see if the young guys can develop and be ready for 27'. Again, wins this season aren't the priority.

That's a bit dramatic. LOL

I am sure the marlins think they current can turn it around before then, but based on how they have handled things I am feeling good about my chances about them kicking the can further and further down the road. (Unless this ownership group gets bought out).

Sandy and Bender might be the only ones with some value. If Sandy doesn't figure it out soon, he won't have much value either.

Hicks is interesting because of his position and team control. He's not great defensively but hes also not a liability. A good hitting LH catcher with at least 4years of club control could fetch a nice return. He has to pull out of his current funk, though.

Gus is raking in the minors but they still seem committed to making him a C

They should move him to 1b. He's fairly athletic for his size and he should be able to handle it. We need to replace Norby.

Anyway you swing it, whatever the current 26 man Bendix has out together and the way they’ve coached them has been absolutely trash.

Pinch hitting Heriberto for Caissie? Is Clayton trolling us?

If the Marlins score more than 9 runs in the next 4 games and allow less than 71, then they will reach the 64 game mark with a better record, more runs scored, and fewer allowed than they did last year. That was the start of the turn around. Not that it is likely, but the same turn around is more likely this year than it was last year.
