January 25, 200422 yr what a loser! jesus christ what a f***ing idiot. man sometimes people can be so f***ing stupid its kinda funny when you think of it.....lol
January 25, 200422 yr Clever negotiating tactic. I'd like to see some GM lowball him now... HAHAHAHAHA.... But seriously - so Ugie fired a gun in the air. That is nothing - do that every New Year...I mean....
January 25, 200422 yr thats not an unusual thing to see in South America, specially Venezuela/Colombia.
January 25, 200422 yr The way things are in Venezuela these days, firing a gun in the air is not all that uncommon. The country is becoming increasingly tense.
January 25, 200422 yr During the World Series, Chavez called one of those special hookups where he talked about a relative's "development" while Venezuelan Miguel Cabrera hit a home run against Future Hall of Famer Roger Clemens. No one saw it, Thankfully he was finished in time for them to see Sea Bass' homer. Down with the Commies!
January 25, 200422 yr I wouldn't be worried about him staying in jail. This is minor crime in Venezuela. However, the political climate there is sort of hot right now and firing a gun in a public area is not the best thing to do. He could have gotten killed just for doing that... I don't think this is such a big deal anyway. He'll be in the States in no time.
January 25, 200422 yr Venezuela is far from a safe place right now, I'm suprised he would do this in a public area, I read how most players from Venezuela when they come home basically lock themselves up in their houses... I know that's the case with Bobby Abreau
January 25, 200422 yr I say we still take a SHOT at signing him, it couldn't kill us could it? I think we have to wait til May 1st....besides, we've commited $3.5 mil to a closer already.
