Turk Wendell vs Bonds.

Featured Replies

The only players that without a doubt use steroids are Derrick Turnbow and Termel Sledge, and that's because they've tested positive.

Turnbow took a legal over-the-counter health product that is legal with MLB.

Turnbow is not considered a violator of MLB's steroid policy. it doesn't matter. What Turnbow took was still a form of steroids.

IF bonds took steroids, it wasn't in violation because it was before the policy took place, but if it turns out he took steroids, he's going to get just as much crap. Yes, it makes a difference as Turnbow is not a violator/abuser of MLB's steroid policy.

Yes, it makes a difference as Turnbow is not a violator/abuser of MLB's steroid policy. then neither was bonds, regardless of whether or not he used steroids because IF he used steroids, it was before they were banned. But IF it turned out Barry used steroids before MLB banned them, nobody would cut him slack, so neither should anyone else, even if MLB doesn't ban that particular form of steroids.

Stay with me on this one...

There's this one storyline in the Batman books where Batman gets hooked on drugs (a super-steroid called Venom, but that's not important). In the story Batman is used by thes drug dealers to bust up the competition, and Batman unknowningly keeps doing it (because he's hooked on Venom). These other criminals get beat up by Batman, get picked up by the police, then they get released and he beats them up again (a cycle).

So, one night he returns in the Batmobile after having busted up these guys heads for the umpteenth time. Alfred, the butler and voice of reason is waiting on him. He asks Batman what he's been doing and Batman said he busted those very same drug dealers again. Alfred asks how he knew they had drugs on their person and Batman replies, "'Cause. I could smell it on 'em!" Aflred hits back with, "Ah, the olfactory school of crimefighting."

This is the same case. You can't prove, on-sight, anything. A couple of years ago I started working out and got buff in a matter of months. A certain friend of mine accused me of taking steroids when I'd done no such thing. I was naturally inclined to put on that weight. He cited a bunch of crap like the fact that my arms had grown twice their normal size in something like six months and that my jawline was bigger (he also brought up how quickly my shoudlers broadened). But, the thing is, my friend had no evidence. He, like Venomed-up Batman, was using a sense to display something that is untraceable to both the human eye and the human nostril.

In this case Batman was wrong (and I lied in the last paragrph except for the Batman parts). And, Sorianofan and Fish Fry, so are you. Turk Wendell should apologize for his actions. Once Batman got off of Venom he was fine. I think Turk Wendell should get of Bonds case!

Even Batman doesn't convict without empirical evidence, and he's never wrong! You Jokers need to drop the zero and get with the hero!

BATMAN BIATCH!

You suckaz got served!

I think libel is involving newspapers. Slander is...well not newspapers...hell I don't remember. That journalism class was 4 years ago.

In this county we're innocent until PROVEN (PROVEN, not Speculated to be) guilty.

Except Bonds, I guess.

Have fun with your witchhunt. I'll be over here being a classy individual and not throwing my peers under the bus.

Good night.

We're not going to throw bonds in prison, we're just stating the obvious.

And for the record, I personally think Bonds is on steroids, but that's not the issue. The issue is that Wendell has no business doing this in the media, it is slander (or maybe liable, actually, you know what I mean). It'd be like me going in the papers and saying some guy I work with cheats on his wife because I saw him walking down the street with another woman.

I mean, it sure looks like he does.

Oh, please! I'd love to see Bonds try to sue Turk for libel. If his case didn't get thrown out for not having merit (which, there would be a 90% chance of that happening), I'd be funny to see Bonds undergo court-ordered steroid testing to try to counteract the 20 or 30 guys Turk could bring to the stand that can attest to Barry using.

1. How old were you when you started working out? (This makes a huge difference)

2. Were you already musuclar before you started working out and noticed dramatic gains?

My guess is the likely answer to #1 would be 21 or younger, the likely answer to #2 would be "No". There's a huge difference between making dramatic gains when you're not muscular to begin with and starting at a young age, and seeing dramatic gains in your late 30s when you are already pretty muscular to begin with. Since you, apparently, lift a lot, you should know better.

3. What the hell happened that Batman and Bane are now friends? And when did Bane stop being Cuban?

Look at the Pic. Bonds Juices. Ok we get it.

This isn't about Bonds juicing up. Its about Turk calling him out on TV, which was not cool from the union standpoint - thats why they're testing now. Let the doctors do their job. Even though MLB would probably cover it up if there was proof Bonds juiced. Gotta have heroes to sell your schwag.

Wendell is entitled to his opinion and it is about freaking time we stop living in la la land.

I kinda agree with Turk. If anybody else's trainer was indicted and admitted to handing out roids to players it'd be obvious. Plus, Barry looks a little bigger.

Jesus, the point isn't if bonds juiced or not, its whether Turk was in line when he said what he said TO THE MEDIA. Unions stick together and don't sell out their members(.)

end

Turk told the truth and I have had it with everyone wiping Barry's ass.

Well then Mr. Wendell needs to quit being a hypocrite and quit the union that is protecting Mr. Bonds.

Gee, what are we going to do if all these pro athletes are using steroids?

You know who doesn't use steroids? Batman.
