I have a friend who is a US Marshall in Illinois, and we are currently drawing up a team to infiltrate the festivities and liberate the ball - escorting it back to Miami for Opening Day. Well...it would be funny if that happened, huh? Cant believe how much press this is getting, totally awesome.
February 27, 200422 yr Too bad the "Bartman Ball" incident completely overshadowed the Marlins winning. I mean, it's almost a week into S.T., and more people are talking about the ball than the reigning world champs.

From A-Rod to Maddux, to Fudge a Tiger, there has been very little recognition that the Marlins are the champs. But you know what - that is a good thing. This team shouldnt be sitting on accolades. So we won 1 World Series (2 since '97). Lets go out and put up good numbers and get some wins and go after it again. This team is best when it is the underdog. We do it again this year, then people will start to notice. Screw 'em I say... Besides, blowing up that ball isnt going to help the Cubs. They are built to choke.

February 27, 200422 yr Honestly..it isn't that people are not recognizing the Marlins won the WS, it is just that noone wants to believe it. Marlins, a low budget team beat Barry Bonds and his Giants Then come back in a tough series and beat the Cubs. Then they BEAT the NY Yankees. Noone wants to believe that a young/low budget team could beat all these experienced/expensive teams.
February 27, 200422 yr Author I am still waiting to get tix for Marlins/Cubs. MLB's websites suck - they must have the smallest servers in the world. I got on earlier, waited, and got through but then when i went to purchase the tix, there was an error and I had to keep re-placing the order because their server had too much traffic. WTF! So here I am, doing it all over again...and Sept. 11th is already sold out... :confused
