I have 12 pitchers which is 1 too many so maybe Harris and Mordecai make the team.

 

Nannini is a year away. Wayne has a better shot than he does. Neu is overrated because he walks too many.

For me, I'd say it's a little bit too early to say who should be on the opening day roster for the bullpen, but at this point I do agree with Heckeroo's bench except I'd take Banks over Harris.

yeah I can't see Banks not being on the opening day roster, although we have pretty much his clone defensively in Cordero, I don't know if that makes him more expendable.

Banks has yet to get a hit this spring and Cordero makes him expendable. Banks only hit about .230 last year. I'd rather have Lenny Harris who is 2 for 4 this spring with 3 RBI and is the all time pinch hit leader. Send Banks and Gerald Williams to AAA.

Im still not sold on Neu and I think we have better options like Blaine Neal. I thought we could have gotten more than Neu in the Redman deal. Neu is wild at times but I guess he may make the team because he was traded for Big Red. I want Franklyn Gracequi to be on the team ALL YEAR. The guy can be very valuable against lefties. When Burnett comes off the DL and Oliver goes to the pen, I would rather send down Tejera than Gracequi. Oliver and Tejera are both lefty, long relivers. It should be interesting to see what Jack does. Plenty of spring ball left!

Where does Justin Wayne expect to play? He's pitched 2 shutout innings so far this spring. Maybe he goes to AAA. We have Wayne, Nannini, and Tejera for insurance incase any of our starters get injured. Too much pitching!! What a great problem to have!

Banks could well be the odd man out here. Anyone else notice he seems to be spending quite a bit of time with the minor leaguers?

yea i do think brian banks is the odd man out here. The arrivals of cordero and nunez really hurt his chances. i feel as if mordecai is a lock on the team. not for his athletic ability or talent but because of the knowledge that he spits out while sitting on that bench. he gave our pitchers and hitters tips all year, and came up with those two big walk offs throughout the season

Abraham Nunez and Blaine Neal are also out of options. I think Nunez will make the team. Neal as 2 scoreless IP so far and Banks is yet to get a hit. The backup spots and bullpen are almost wide open. One of my favorites is still Franklyn Gracequi to win a bullpen spot.

Good chance that Banks will not make the roster......and also a very good chance that he would be picked up on waivers.
