Agreed but who do you wanna start instead ? We have basicly used everyone aviailble and they all been terrible. Nico, Conley, Worley, the irishman, etc. Let them keep starting (except) Worley and perhaps a miracle will happen and one of them can start to perform decently with consistency.

But why ? I don't understand the non-tender DFA idea. We have no talent thats waiting in the wings anyhow. The Marlins needs pitchers that can make starts. If we end up trading relievers I say move him to the pen. Otherwise let him make his starts now and then while trying to trade him for that abysmal return if any. Calling him one of the worst regular rotaion members you can remember is probably a stretch too. He's been absolutly terrible this year but decent in the past with occassional really good starts.

I agree. Focus should be on trading Prado, Phelps and Ramos. If they could get a really good return for Ozuna then go for it since he probably won't resign anyhow. I really hope we do well in the upcoming series which I think we will. Home stands against Dodgers and Phillies and then off to Cinci. If they can come close to a couple of games under .500 it might deter a more full-fledged fire sell ( though nothing really changed).

I think a firesale would leave this team in ruins for at least 4-5 years. I don't think it's good for the franchise and that the majority of the fans will be enraged. My opinion is that they should try to move: Ozuna Prado Ramos Bearclaw Phelps Ziegler Everyone from the BP should be available really. If you can get anything for Koehler, Locke or Nicolino then trade them immediately. They should be able to get some real good prospects back for Ozuna and Bearclaw and a decent return for Ramos and Phelps. Probably will have to eat some of Prados contract to get anything of worth back (or do it the Marlins way and eat nothing and get c prospects ). All others is really just salary relief but we know this team love that so let them have it. Even if everyone above goes this team will still have a chance to continue to build and with a lot of luck compete next year. They will shed salary and partially restock the farm.

I can only imagine how dreadful the last couple of months will be if we trade Straily or Volquez. All the other teams use these broken shitty sps to "hold down the fort" and provide innings untill the young talent is ready for the bigs. The Marlins have nobody of worth like that. Koehler, Worley, Locke, freakin Nicolino....
