Strong push for Chapman and Jansen coming
Someone should photoshop the man clean shaven so we can see what we are getting.

Strong push for Chapman and Jansen coming
Loria and Hill are pumping and dumping.

Giants sign Casey McGehee
Bring him back. Offer the japs Ozuna as trade bait. Don Kelly and the salty one need to come back too. Can´t afford to wait any longer now. Look what happended to Mathis. And I´m no doctor or anything but surely this team has a solano deficiency right now ?

Mathis heads to D-Backs
I like TK. One wonders what he would get if he were an FA in this market. 3/40 ? O/ U ?

The remaining pitchers
Marlins should stay away from Nova. 64 decent innings down the stretch with the pirates doesn't make him good. Saw a lot of the Yankee games this season were he was starting. Terrible stuff. Especially the fastball. Mediocre K/9 rate. Another Tom Koehler at best. Would hate to see the Marlins buy high on him and be stuck with his contract for years to come.

Edinson Volquez
Decent signing. The rotation will still be way behind that of the Nationals and Mets. If the Braves were to sign Sale then forget about it. But that would be expected. Would be great if the Marlins somehow could trade for Gio Gonzalez now that reports are coming out that the Nats are shopping him. Marlins probably doesn't have what it takes though and the Nats might not want to trade him to a division "rival" LoL.

Dbacks get Walker, Marte from Mariners For Segura, Haniger, Curtis
We could't get Walker for Ozuna straight up and now this shit happens. Mariners got robbed. Segura can be a great SS but he might have overperformed greatly last season.

Article: 2016-17 Top 50 MLB Free Agents With Predictions
Should be some competition for Fister though in this market ? The best the Marlins can do is pull of a miracle trade for Bauer (don't see it) and then pick up at least one guy like Fister, Volquez, Wood, Andersson .. This would still make the Marlins a sub .500 team. There is really no doubt about it. I'm very exited to see where the bookies put the over/under next season though. 76.5 ?

Jason Hammel
From MLBTR : " He experienced elbow tightness late in the regular season, though, and the club subsequently left him off its roster during playoff victories over the Giants, Dodgers and Indians " He should be on the Marlins radar. But really, we can't spend real money on someone like this if there is a good chance he's going to be injured for any significant time the upcoming season/seasons.

Your off-season shopping spree
This offseason is going to be terrible. There is really no way this team can improve enough to really contend next season and overpaying for mediocre sp:s like Nova shouldn't be an option for a low budget team like the Marlins. Tear it down. Sign Casey Mcgee, Salty, Jeff Mathis and Don Kelly though. Wouldn't be the Marlins otherwise.

FA SP update
Doug Fister, Cliff Lee or Edwin Jackson? And the marlins are looking to sign one(!) of these ? Jose, Cosart, Koehler, Fister/Lee/Jackson, and Conley/Nicolino is just one hell of a horrid rotation even before the must come injuries. They said they needed 2 sps before Hendo left which would mean we need 3 after. Even if they signed Kennedy and one of the mentioned above the rotation would in no way be especially good but at least they would give the guys a shot. I remember the anticipated 2014 rotation of : Jose, Hendo, Latos, Cosart ( the 2013 astros one ) and Koehler/Haren. My GOD that looked magnificent. At least before opening day.
