December 3, 20169 yr I absolutely love what Jeff Mathis brought to this team in the clubhouse as a leader and a mentor. I will miss that. Thank you Jeff, this organization needs more role models like you. ...with that said... I won't miss his waste of a roster space as a player and while I wouldn't have demanded he leave I have no problem with his departure especially if it was a better contract for him and his family.
