Strong push for Chapman and Jansen coming

I don't see how pushing him will make him want to come here. They better be careful too because we know he'll hit back and possibly even fire off a few shots in the parking garages.

@Michael already forgives him in advance for this

According to Ken Rosenthal, some in the front office prefer Chapman and some prefer Jansen. Curious if that has led to the idea of signing more than one closer.

Solution: Sign both

I've only seen that they're interested in signing one, not two.

I just think that the Marlins need a starting pitcher or two in order to justify having Chapman. I know he's more than a closer, and takes pressure off the rotation, but with the loss of Jose the Marlins need quality starters. Volquez isn't going to cut it.

Fair enough but what FA pitchers would fit that? Seems like a thin market and they don't want to deal any of the core pieces to get a SP via trade so it is either get some closers or do nothing.

I would just deal Ozuna and stand pat. Sell Ramos at the deadline.

I don't think there is anything they could realistically do to be a competitor.
