  1. Braves got heavy hitters and marlins sending out a rook and a bullpen pitcher to save us. Sandy has been getting rocked this year, so obviously not our best. Idk how they could know every pitch, but they might just be very good
  2. Marlins are trading outs at the plate for defense with Stallings. If he gets a hit its an unexpected welcome surprise. When they got him, they probably assumed he'd hit .250 but he can barely hit above .150 Maybe we should get Jorge Alfaro? 😄
  3. Love the small ball they are playing. Last year they couldn't make any contact and now finally they brought in all contact hitters. Marlins are making runs out of walks and bunts...who would have guessed that after last year's dismal performance. Great wins lately and I really like how skip is managing the games with the bullpen and lineup.
  4. Probably but the ump really didn't help him out today. He was taking pitches that were balls that consistently were being called strikes. I thought he had a good approach by not swinging at balls, but obviously he needs to adjust when the umpire has a wide strike zone. He needs to make more contact and foul off borderline pitches until he can get something to hit.
  5. I'd extend coop depending on how he does this year and what the asking price is for him. If he's affordable, then go, if not then obviously look elsewhere. Marlins have no bats close to his consistency anywhere in the minors and I'm not a fan of experimenting with another Garcia / Soler type of hitter in free agency. Marlins seem to do well when they trade for pitchers, so if they can flip him for a decent rotation guy, then that might be the best outcome given his age and consistent ability to get injured.
  6. Coop is our third or second best hitter and yall calling him trash? Who else in the farm is mlb ready that can perform at his level? Even his defense has been solid this year. He's a classic under the radar solid bat.
  7. When yelich and Stanton played here. 🙂
  8. Marlins have run out of hitters and pitchers.
  9. Stallings has helped our pitching staff. Calls good games and that's good enough to keep him. In today's game vs mets you could see Scott struggling finding the strike zone throwing wild fastballs and Stallings started dialing in sliders inside that although weren't strikes, were still generating swings and misses. Stallings is all about handling the pitching staff. Record years for both Sandy and Pablo. I gotta say he's not great at throwing out runners or hitting, but he seems savy in calling a good game.
  10. Well, Soler is leading the team in walks and strikeouts. 🙂 take that
  11. Where's the cheap Jeter guy?
  12. Why is Jazz even being discussed? No1 but the players knows what took place in the meeting. It's easy to make up crap and put Jazz in the middle of it because it's "spicy". Chances are it's all made up for media attention.
  13. LOL I like the guy a lot. He swings at every pitch and doesn't strike out. Comes in clutch in the 10th and throws himself belly first into home (someone needs to meme that) . What's not to love?
  14. What happened to Garcia? Is this a benching, personal issue, or what? Let's guess.
  15. Lol this has to be lous fav player.
