July 8, 20223 yr The most comical of the approaches is Soler. He's an enormous human with so much natural pop he can hit it out of the ballpark with one hand but swings out of his shoes behind in the count with two strikes.
July 9, 20223 yr I did not like the Garcia signing, but he has certainly been worse than I thought he was gonna be. Sallings was never a good hitter, but he was never this bad for Pittsburgh. Meanwhile, Alfaro leaves here and figures things out. He's really lifting the ball and Garcia is having a career worst ground ball rate. Also, we do especially bad vs mediocre pitchers. It would be one thing if we were absolute trash vs all pitchers, but just to the Erick Fedde's of this world. I think we have a coaching issue.
