Man Ive been a fanboy of DLC's potential since he came over and he's had hot streaks multiple times but I really hope this sustained streak after his adjustments last year is what keeps him in the lineup.

And he just turned 26 back in December so he should be coming into his prime years.

where did all the "the manager doesn't matter" people on Marlins Twitter go?

Well, now would be the wrong time considering our manager didn't manage this second game really lol.

How many Mattinglosses would we have to this point though? Lol

I think overall managers still don't have a massive impact but BAD managers do....Don was one of those. Average to good..meh but if you have someone as checked out as Don clearly was last year..yeah you reap what you sow when keeping someone like that in charge of team

Yeah. And not having his players' backs either like Skip has shown he has so far.

Just proves that the bench coach is a better manager than Mattingly.*

*actually Marlins probably got a little lucky tonight

It's very likely Barnes or Scott would be the closer if Mattingly were still in charge. Lindgren would have started Game 1 today. Avi would be batting cleanup, and Jazz would have been left out to dry with the umpire today.

That about sums it up.

Still not getting my hopes up with this team because it has so many holes, but I will say it is nice to see the club not essentially be done for the year in late April for a change.

Yes. Expectations remain low and enjoying the ride!

Love the small ball they are playing. Last year they couldn't make any contact and now finally they brought in all contact hitters. Marlins are making runs out of walks and bunts...who would have guessed that after last year's dismal performance.

Great wins lately and I really like how skip is managing the games with the bullpen and lineup.

Shout out to Luis Urueta getting out ahead of that wacky situation in the 9th - if Cleveland had been able to challenge that play at home, it would have been overturned but Luis jumped out there quickly and got the umpire's attention to say "hey, Kwan hit that ball twice ..."

Yes, it did give Kwan another chance, but thankfully it paid off for us.
