  1. Matt Cassel and Mike Vrabel traded for the Chiefs 34th overall pick (2nd round). Now the Chiefs get to see how Cassel is really a sh*tty QB who thrived in the Pats system. We'll find out... While I do agree with Dim in that Cassell benefited EXTREMELY from learning that Patsies system for those few years, then jumping in and getting to throw from the shotgun all the time to Moss and Welker... I'll say this... Heretofore in his career, Cassell sucks in anything but shotgun, he also won't have anywhere near the talent around him that he did in NE. That' being said, to get Cassel AND Vrabel for a second round pick is an absolute steal by my standards. As much a system QB as Cassell is, to get a young, starting caliber QB and a serviceable LB for just a 2rounder (given the KC 2nd rounder is as good as a late first rounder) is great, great value. In addition to all this, I expect the Chiefs to trade Thigpen to the Bucs... I don't know quite why I expect that, but I do... which will help them recover that second round pick at that... great move by the Chiefs. Either that or his 1-5 record against playoff teams that year.
  2. So, lemme get this straight then... Of the AFC North... The Ravens already lost Bart Scott... and are probably going to lose Ray Lewis too... The Browns already had Shaun Rogers (whom they blew last year's draft on), their best defensive player, arguably, tell them not to exercise his option and lost, probably, their best offensive player in Kellen Winslow. The Bengals are eventually going to lose Houshmanzadeh, their most consistent offensive player and probably end up trading Ocho Cinco before it's all said and done. As if that's not glorious enough... almost, if not all of those players, will be going to the NFC, weakening the AFC even more. The Steelers have the following "major" FAs... Nate Washington... kind of a Chris Chambers type guy, but we have Sweed to replace him... Bryant McFadden, a 2-3 CB who could start for a mid-tier team, has 2 SB rings, so just wants money now... and James Farrior who will more than likely be resigned - if not, Admin Foote replaces and and Lawrence Timmons gets to start and show how really good he is. All I want for Christmas now are some new O-Linemen in the draft... and maybe Leftwich to come back and play as backup again... if not, I'll be snagging his jersey on the sale rack for kicks. I hope he works on "ball control" this offseason
  3. What was weird is that Palamalu was the RB on the last snap lol He always plays the deep back in the victory formation... it's a safety measure, no pun intended For a second, Raul and I thought you were dead from a heart attack with a minute left on the clock. lol Thank goodness you aren't. "Pitchy Just Died" Thank you for concern, I'm quite alright. Im sure we felt the same way.... Champions!
  4. happy be-lated birthday mah boy.
  5. Amazing season. Win or lose today or even in the bowl... I can't be unhappy. It's been awesome so far. Well said man, for some reason though, todays win didnt feel the same like it did in 05. Still have one more game to win.
  6. Why do other teams giftwrap wins for the ravens, yet stand up when they play against us?.
  7. There wont be a true champion in college football until they have a playoff system. I think even Jim Mora would agree that we need playoffs.....
  8. Eagles and Ravens looked very good today. I like the eagles over the giants next week. Carolina will probably destroy the cards. I think both of the AFC games could go either way. I expect the Steelers to easily beat the Chargers. I expect to win... but Gates and the Sproles/LT combo always make things difficult, nothing else really scares me I dont know, the two teams played a few months ago in Pitt and it was a 1 point game. They were a lot healthier then too, IIRC... btw, I didn't guarantee a win, just expect to win I hope Neil O'Donnell nor Kordell Stewert dont show up to the game :|
  9. Well, the good news (at least for me and Dtrainfan) is that the beast that is the Raven defense gets unleashed on Tennessee... and we get to stop Darren Sproles... And Scifres thats how a real punter does it, imagine if our punter could get our defense in those kinds of positions game in and game out. He can, he's just injured... man I miss Sepulveda yea, i guess wasting a 4th round pick on a punter isnt as bad as it seems. also losing greg warren look a bit of a hit on special teams. hopefully everyone is healthy for next weekend, namely ben.

  11. Good start to the playoffs, although the game would've been more interesting if Matt Ryan had a chance to go for the win. lol @ Brooking biting on a short route on 3rd and 18.
  12. The real coach of the year award goes to the coach that wins in February.

  17. I wish I could watch the Steeler/Titans game im glad i didnt! lol, from the looks of it we left ALOT of points on the field. yea yea i called the titans mediocre after their loss to the jets, they won mainly because we turned the ball over 4 times and we didnt get any pressure on old man collins. still got the 2nd seed and no pressure of being "the team to beat"
