I would agree....some of the comments being made about players would not be seen as complimentary and then we have an all out war on our hands....all we need is for a player to get ticked off and then slam on someone....REMEMBER PEARL HARBOR........no need for that.....Let's have the players perform on the field and we can perform on the internet......sounds like a pretty good compromise to me...thanks for the post RAMP

While I would agree with Messenger and Resop not being the caliber of pitchers as the veterans....if you will look at their stats in the next few years they will far surpass these veterans...both are only 23 and 22 respectively.....give them some time and watch who rises to the top.....and who crumbles to the floor.....

Have not heard any rumors about Resop being on the trading block....as far as he is concerned, he simply wants to play in the bigs and if it takes a trade to get there so be it.....

Lincoln has a great arm.....give that Resop kid some time....1 1/2 yrs is all he has thrown....let him get another 1/2 season under his belt and see where he stands..great to have Lincoln back...both of them are good friends

I don't really think you can say that Resop had a fair MLB debut with the rains etc. but so be it......so if you take away that game he really did have a good 5 out of 6 games for the Marlins...remember he has been throwing for less than a year and a half...skipped high A and AAA....and had thrown less than 90 innings before being called up...believe me the next time he is called he will stay....he threw only two pitches while up with the Marlins and has been working on his slider which I understand to be pretty nasty....by 2006 he will be ready to stay....

good for Chris...he needs to go to the next step up and see how he handles mainly college players now....if he passes this test he may get a call to Greensboro to finish the season......keep working hard

I forgot about them not being on the 40 man......tough call there to bring Hermida and Johnson up.....who do you delete from the existing 40 man? Andino will get his shot next season in spring training.....he will have to be added to the 40 man as will Hermida and Johnson as they are all out of that draft class....as was Olsen but he is already part of the 40 man roster... Thinking if the Marlins do not make the playoffs this season, you might see alot of young players up next season and start that rebuilding process over the next 2 yrs....that helps to fee up money for salaries and you can put that into a new stadium..... just some thoughts

I concur with 2006 as being the year of the Marlins...right now you have unseasoned pitchers with 4 coming up from AA and AAA......with 2 as starters and 2 in the pen and with another few months of the season to go, the experience they are getting now will carry them into 2006. You will see some very tough young pitching....hopefully Hermida will come up as will Andino.....yet Andino might be a year away....great young team coming up in the future

nothing like getting shelled.....AJ was not on and Resop was way off...no tight breaking pitch like he throws...lazily hanging one hit for a HR that would be a single anywhere else...but nevertheless...can't hang or they bang.....Vargas looked good...ground balls are the answer not those that get up...trouble is abrewing if hitters get the ball up....

Good analysis of both....I am certainly pleased to see that Vargas was not headed to the bullpen.....that might have ruined him

they may take off Belisario off the 40 man as he is out with TJ....my best guess would be Al Leiter....he may have retired...I was sitting with his parents and kids when he started against the Cubbies...it was not a pleasant time for them believe me
