TRESOP
I told you Vargas would be headed to the big leagues....he got called tonight and so advised another player....he is headed to Philadelphia as we speak...there are only about 15 players on the team flight right now so no ideas as to who is not headed to Philly ......and the story continues
Accord
Holy s***. Awesome. If Vargas got the call, that means AJ has DEFINITELY been traded.
Guest Moneyball
WTF. Are we about to hear other news, concerning big league players? :mischief
RockyMountainMarlin
Thank you Al for a great career as a Marlin. Welcome to Vargas!
Guest Juanky
My heart's torn on this one. I hope his coming up is as a starter, but I don't want them to trade AJ unless we get a King's ransom and then some. I guess we'll have to wait for news on the rest of the info but I'm not doubting a Vargas appearance.
Fishin2004
why couldn't we just be kicking Leiter out of the rotation?
RockyMountainMarlin
why couldn't we just be kicking Leiter out of the rotation? 854245 Because Al could chose to hang it up and call it a career.
Valyekrin
why couldn't we just be kicking Leiter out of the rotation? 854245 We already did that! And he still found a way back in, good to hear the kid got called up, maybe that means Leiter will be kicked from the rotation... again. farmer_fran
Anyone know if Josh is scheduled to make his next start? Because if he is and we called up Vargas just to pitch in the pen I'm going to be pissed.

Michael
interesting..lets see how he does.. thats a huge jump for one year, going from low-A Jupiter to the Majors in a matter of 3 or 4 months..

He has been moving up too quickly. :confused 854263 I disagree that he has been moving up too quickly, up until this point. He deserved to be in AA right now, as was shown by how well he pitched there. Now it's debateable whether or not he's ready for the majors at this point, but until now he hadn't been rushed at any level yet, IMO. Fishfan79
He most likely is getting a spot start for Uncle Al. I think it would be good to se what the kid has, but I think this is a bit of a rush.
