No one will eeeeever knoooow. Mike just need to shave some first.

3. Why would Washington deal Church? 802724 b/c they want Juan Encarancion to get Preston Wilson 803236 Why would the Rockies want Encarnacion? 803241 I think they will take anyone so they could dump the Preston Wilson contract. HOWEVER I don't think Church is going anywhere. When you are in first place and just won 7 in a row you don't start messing with things. And Church is a BIG part of the winning.

That's baseball for you. We aren't getting the balls to drop right now. We put the ball into play eventually they will stop finding people. Only 6 teams have stuck out less than us. Only 2 teams have less GIDP than us. Those are other important hitting numbers if you ask me and we are sitting pretty good in both of those categories. We are also in the top third of teams for making the pitcher work per at bat. We are also 6th in the league in pinch hits and pinch hitting average. Bill has done good work with those guys. True we are having trouble scoring runs but in so many other categories we aren't doing that bad you have to assume that the runs will pick up.

Look at stats in the late innings with RISP and other stats. Someone posted them a few days ago. 803227 RISP AVG http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/stats/byteam?c...n_2005&sort=722 TB leads the league. Marlins are in the middle better than team like the Mets, Braves, D'Backs, Yankees, Jays, Pads, Texas. Worse than Phils, Sox (of both kinds), Cards, Twins. 2 out RISP AVG http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/stats/byteam?c...n_2005&sort=722 Rockies lead this stats. Once again the Marlins are towards the middle of the pack. Better than a number of winning teams, worse than some. BTW the DiamondBacks are dead last in this category, and were low in RISP AVG too yet they find ways to win. Basesloaded AVG http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/stats/byteam?c...n_2005&sort=722 Right towards the top #6 7+ Inning AVG http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/stats/byteam?c...n_2005&sort=722 Lead the league Just because you hit good in these situations doesn't mean you are good, and winning teams have some pretty bad situational hitting.

8. Nice F*ing play JP... :banghead :banghead :banghead What's with this outfield lately? 802722 Bill Robinson's fault. He told them they need to focus on hitting made them forget about defense. Dur. :mischief
9. That is one of the longest singles these eyes have ever seen.

11. Great bat though. 802542 I don't understand. He has had a few big hits, but he is not any sense of the word great. .248 average, .295 obp, .522 slg. Close and late he has a .118 average, .250 obp, .353 slg in 17 ABs, not very clutch. With RISP he has a .267 avg, .327 obp, .500 slg. He's struck our nearly 3 times more than walked, 20 so to 7 bb. Yes he has 7 HRs but 5 were with the bases empty and he has had 113 ABs, and a HR every ~16 ABs is not great. Just because he is doing better than some of our struggling guys doesn't make him great. 802553 great bat off the bench 802579 He's had 5 PH ABs and has 1 hit as a PH this year according to ESPN. Great. :lol For coming in off the bench to spot start here and there he is OKAY. He has had some clutch hits but even a broken watch is right twice a day.

13. I didn't call anyone a bandwagon fan all I said is when you are happy when the team wins and sad when they lose and have these completely different extreme up and downs based on a day by day outcome or a few days then you seem like a bandwagon fan and don't really know baseball. And paging through the boards I see some people who act like everything is done for after a few losses but then after a win or two that the Marlins will not lose another series all year.

He insulted the players by saying something along the lines of "I don't think any other hitting coach could make this team hit. Not with this team." He is an arrogant fetus that takes no responsibility whatsoever for the way the teams hitting and has said that even if the team isn't hitting, he won't take any pressure for it. This is leading me to believe that lately he is a clubhouse cancer. Coaching has a greater impact than many people think. The Marlins improved after they got Jack Mckeon (D-Train+Cabrera). The Mets have improved since they booted Art Howe (Acquired Beltran+Martinez) and I believe the Indians and Blue Jays have been winning more games since they fired their hitting coaches. Give him the boot. We need some new faces around here. 800784 That's not what he said. When asked if it concerned him that Cleveland on Saturday fired hitting coach Eddie Murray, Robinson said, "Guys don't get fired when they're leading the league in hitting and still in the pennant race. The guys who are let go are guys whose teams are hopefully out of it. Nobody in the world could do a better job - not with this team. No one could ever do a better job than I've done." Paul Lo Duca, before his three-hit game Sunday, said he's a "prime example" of being "terrible" with runners in scoring position. "Our hitting coach does a great job, our coaches do a good job," Lo Duca said. "They can't throw it for us. And they can't hit it and field it for us. We have to go out and do it. They give us all we need." Manager Jack McKeon said, "It's up to (the players). They're the actors on the stage. They've got to make adjustments. We've been patient as hell. I'm tired of being patient with these guys. I believe in them. But sooner or later, you either sink or swim." "I guess I am concerned," Robinson said. "I'll take all the blame if it keeps the pressure (off the hitters). ... Though the hitting coach doesn't hit, it's always his responsibility. It's a tough job. It's a thankless job. You get all the blame when the guys don't do well. And you don't get any of the credit when they do well." http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews...ts/11823529.htm

Although reporters have speculated that hitting coach Bill Robinson's job could be on the line, Marlins players said they do not think he will get fired. Team officials, however, wouldn't rule it out if the Marlins don't start producing. -- Palm Beach Post
17. You know what'll turn this around, if the fans at the stadium had a f'ing clue how bad the team is?? I'm sick of hearing "ooooooh, Miguel, he's sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute...you think he's got a girlfriend?" Last night, they cheered them as they took the field (I booed).? In general, fans at the stadium have no idea what's happening with the team outside of the game they're attending.? If the fans, en masse, hold the team responsible, something may happen. 800472 You booed the Marlins? Now thats classy. At a home game no less. As a true fan you don't start booing until it is obvious the team isn't trying. Right now they might be stinking it up but they are trying. If you want to pass judgement on other fans expect others to pass judgement on you. Why even go to the game if you were just going to boo?

20. Does anyone have a list of offense players that will become FAs after this year or next year? 800389 Best I found with a quick google. Burnett .....P...Marlins Johnny Damon .....OF...Red Sox Rafael Furcal .....SS...Braves Nomar Garciaparra .....SS...Cubs Jacque Jones .....OF...Twins Matt Morris .....P...Cardinals Brad Penny .....P...Dodgers Aramis Ramirez .....3B...Cubs Jeff Weaver .....P....Dodgers http://www.thenewstribune.com/sports/marin...p-4373955c.html
21. Trading for Crawford and Dunn? WTH? Do the DRays and Reds look that dumb? 800367 Dunn will be traded soon. They need to acquire pitching for the future and have enough good OFers. Crawford is a different story. The DRays are packed at OF (especially if they finally move Uptown to the OF) and need more pitching. Huff is the more likely person to be traded, but you never know with the DRays. It is worth a shot to call about Crawford. He should be getting an increase in arbitration soon and you know the DRays are too cheap to pay what he'll command. 800370 Thats why they signed him to what could be a 6 year $31 million dollar contract right? 800371 The DRays signed Crawford to a long term deal? When did this happen? Did the future managing partner drug the current one to get that done? :lol 800386 http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2027803

23. Hello. I usually just lurk on these boards as a guest and just read what you all have here. And sometimes I have been tempted to post when you just question what visitors think of this site and what is said. I have not posted until now because some of you are the worst kind of "fans". When the Marlins win you guys make it seem they are the best thing since sliced bread and that the rest of the MLB is screwed. But when they lose you act like it is the end of the world. And then I don't really understand why some of you seem to think the batting order resembles something like this: 1-Bill Robinson 2b 2-Bill Robinson cf 3-Bill Robinson c 4-Bill Robinson 1b 5-Bill Robinson lf 6-Bill Robinson rf 7-Bill Robinson 3b 8-Bill Robinson ss 9-whatever pitcher Stick by your team or don't because it makes you look silly otherwise. You look like a bandwagon fan when the only time you see positive things when the team wins. You can see positive things in losses, and negative things in wins but some of you act like neither is possible. Anyway that is what a usual "guest" thinks.
