  1. OK so here's what we need to do. Trade for Shane Victorino. He would be PERFECT. With Rowand returning to the Phillies next year, Victorino would be back on the bench. I'm sure we could get him if we offer some pitching. That or we just put a hit out on him and break both his legs, because he's been a Marlins killer this year. Petit's worse than Moe! Good lord.
  2. Chris Aguila? May as well let Herges hit.
  3. I have no doubt he's a good guy and a good clubhouse presence, but he's been extremely average for us over the last two years, and I sincerely hope that's the last time we see Brian Moehler in a Marlins uniform.
  4. Florida's Jacobs leaves team for personal reasons September 28, 2006 MIAMI (AP) -- Florida first baseman Mike Jacobs has left the team for personal reasons and will not return for the season's final weekend, the team announced Thursday night after the Marlins' 5-1 loss to Cincinnati. The Marlins host Philadelphia for a three-game set starting Friday. Jacobs is hitting .262 with 20 home runs and 77 RBIs. He was 0-for-3 with a walk in Thursday's loss. Jacobs combined this season with second baseman Dan Uggla and Josh Willingham to make Florida the second team ever to have three rookies with at least 20 homers apiece. Uggla has hit 26 homers and Willingham 25. They joined the 1982 Minnesota Twins, who had Kent Hrbek, Gary Gaetti and Tom Brunansky accomplish the feat. LINK :mischief2 I hope everything's alright with him. It's been a good season Jake, come back bigger and better next year.
  5. Broken up! Cano single to LF!
  6. 5-1 Baltimore. Yankees play Toronto in the final series, that bet could be in trouble...
  7. Yankees just scored a run on an error, but it's still a no-hitter. That's right, I said it, NO-HITTER!! Baltimore's defense is really letting Cabrera down right now.
  8. You know you have problems when Kyle Lohse is owning you.

  11. There's only four games to go, I feel sad...
  12. If Tank gets the out, and then comes out for the 8th inning, I will be pissed to an extent that I haven't been pissed to since, well, the last late inning managerial f*** up. Er, why? It's only one out. And who else do you want to pitch the 8th... Messenger?!? We've seen on multiple occasions that Tankersley does not take well at all to coming out of the pen, sitting, and then pitching again. He's thrown 2 pitches. He'll be fine. We've got no one else.

  14. Paper Mache coming to the plate. :lol
  15. :lol @ Todd Coffey. He pulled a Matt Treanor, running from the bullpen.
  16. Can someone please explain to me what a FA? I would be appreciated if you do and please take your time and make sure it is readable and simple. Oh... you're serious. Free agency is when a player's contract with a team has expired, and thus that team no longer has control over that player, thus they can't trade said player. The player can then make up his mind whether he wants to re-sign with that team, or move to another team, pending on what offers he receives from rival teams. For example, Joe Borowski signed a one year contract with us, that means that we can't trade him this off-season, as he is not under our control anymore. He can either decide to re-sign with us (if the Marlins want him too), or leave for another team.
  17. I offer then Girardi for Pierre, you thik that a smart trade? You do understand the concept of free agency right? :lol Apparently not.
