Been listening to Paul McCartney's last album Chaos And Creation In The Backyard. That album is simply phenomenal, and if you haven't heard it, do yourself a favor and get it.

All the Mitre haters out there, I have a question. With Anibal in AAA, and JJ on the DL, who are you going to use? Just because Anibal's in AAA doesn't mean he should be there, or is less than deserving of the spot. We know if Mitre had options left, it'd probably be him down there. Yea. Right. We need a guy like Anibal right now. It just makes the games so much more interesting when we put up a pitcher that walks more guys than he Ks and has hitters going .341 vs him. I just love watching my pitcher getting the count to 0-2 and then walking that guy or letting him get a hit. But he tossed a no-no last year so he is a GOD. Wait, are you also talking about our two "aces" who have ERA's north of 5 and BAA's of .300 or better? Because I'm not quite sure who you're talking about when you talk about that guy who gets ahead 0-2 and then screws up. Little help here? I know you feel bad for the kid. But he has a 2.06 WHIP, he's striking out like 4.4/9IP, has a 19/14 BB/K ratio, and only has a low ERA out of pure luck. Seriously he earned the benefit of the doubt last year, but he's lost the ability to make outs this year. Sure it sucks that sending him down was more about making sure Julio gets back up here, but if you've got a problem with that don't make it seem like you are worried about Anibal's well being. He'll be fine if he can figure out whats wrong.

One of my other favorite "old" musical genres is the sound that was before grunge, that "Minneapolis Punk/Rock" that brought forth H?sker D? and The Replacements! Minneapolis still has one of the best music scenes around. Love me some Motion City Soundtrack.

(My family is from Pittsburgh, so I've had many a Primanti Bros. sandwich. It's an institution up there. Getting anything but a sandwich from there is like using any ketchup but Heinz.)

Is there anyone else out there who loves 'Pet Sounds' but thinks most anything else by The Beach Boys sucks? Basically, though I have to admit, Smile was great too. And their early singles are some of the best around. But everyone my age seems to love "Kokomo". Thats not even a real Beach Boys song...

So my brother has been telling me for months to listen to Elliott Smith and I'm finally giving him a try tonight and listening to Either/Or. Anyone else a fan? Either/or and XO are the ones I have. I enjoy them, but I'm not sure he's "the finest songwriter of our generation". But then, I've not given him really extensive listens. I'm sure I'd probably enjoy it more if I gave it some serious listens. There's definetly something there that not a lot of guys have.

That Rock the Bells show sounds sick. I'd love to see Talib and Immortal Technique.

Nah, I didn't say anything. Tall red-headed guy clearly didn't want to be bothered, and we were going to say something as we were getting on the plane, but they were all busy talking to each other, so we just left them alone.
