So thats why Mitre needed more than 1 rehab outing
That why Mitre is a starter.

Marlins vs Nationals - 8/10/06: 7:05 p.m. @ RFK Memorial Stadium
At least the Reds got spanked today (although we'd have to play .650 ball from here on out to catch them) Forget it, the year is over. There no way we can play over .650 for so many days.

We should let Mitre get a couple of starts if Girardi gave up on the wild card race.

Enough's enough and it's time for a change
Amezaga has not been that bad in CF. He has actually looked pretty decent out there. So many people expect Andruw Jones type defense from CF and that's just no realistic. Considering that he never really played out there before this season, he has looked just fine. And I'll never forget the catch he made a few weeks ago. Absolutely amazing. I am a huge fan of Amezaga. During the offseason, I didn't even think twice about his signing, but he has been huge for us. He plays solid defense wherever they put him (Rich and Tommy agree)... =).. And he's just been a sparkplug for this team... I cringe everytime a ball is hit to center field when Amezaga is playing. His reads are generally bad, he gets pretty awful jumps, and he looks so out of place. Sometimes you see him make a ncie running play or hustle toward a ball, and you might think--man he's good! ... No, that just him making up for his initial misread and having to run full out to make what should be a routine play. Atliest he catches them. :lol Beside this mis-read issue is something that doesn't take much time to get use to so he should improve quickly.

Jeremy scores on Olivos's single. Marlins 4-2 Olivo doubled. I thought he advanced to 2nd base on the throw. he did Single + base error. He wound up at second. You knew what I meant. Actually, single + advancing on throw. There was no error for that Zimmerman throw? That was terrible. Good throw would've had the runner pretty easily. It still say 3 errors fot the Nats.

This is a really boring game. Nats fans has no energy, that why. 2 on 2 outs and there is no fans support or not even some music playing. :confused

Well this is it, 1 lose and wildcard dream is more then a pipe dream. We gotta pretend tis is a 5 games serie and the Nats won the first 2 as the Marlins face elimination and need to win the next 3 games to get out of the hole.
