  1. Hendrickson by a hair I wish I had two votes to vote for him and Vanden Hurk. my bad i shoulda done that
  2. I personally wish the marlins would move to jacksonville for selfish reasons but to think that the marlins are going to move right now is nuts . the economy is crap no city / county/ state are going to put up the kind of money loria will need to get a new stadium .If the deal completely falls apart I suspect the marlins will come to an agreement on a short term extension with Wayne and continue as is in baseball limbo. i want the marlins to move to Wellington or West Palm for selfish reasons too but the citys are pretty rich themselves and that could help out i doubt they will have space in Wellington though
  3. Hendrickson by a hair what the hell?! Why Hendrix???
  4. how about not wasting a long term deal and sign them both to 3 years
  5. who do you think are most dominante starter has been this season?? i put the names of almost every pitcher that has started for us even though they might have only pitched 1 game
  6. what i liked: starting pitching over the last few games (not counting miller) turning the road trip around team relying on the long ball what i didnt like: starting pitching over the course of the 1st half too much long balls not so much produced runs overall: i think we can turn it around in the 2nd half with sanchez coming back and mitre too
  7. final score 7 - 3
  8. i got a feeling miller is going to do good because the dodgers have had trouble scoring runs over the season projected line for pitchers: Miller: 6 IP, 5 H, 1 R (0 ER), 1 BB, 6 K, 110 pitches Billingsley: 5 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 6 K, 120 pitches Ross has a big game as well
  9. i hate hoover so much!!! :banghead :banghead i hope he can do something good for the team today :pray
  10. amezaga did good filling in for him yesterday so lets not panic
  11. Wow. America, get ready for your Home Run Derby champion. His middle name is Cooley. Does anyone know who will be throwing to him in the derby? Arsenault? Not a Marlin. Uggla said, and I forget where I heard/read it, that he isn't bringing someone on the Marlins so the staff can enjoy the ASB. When was this? rich and tommy said it in the san diego series so the staff can enjoy the break with their families
  12. Rich and Tommy say its a sore right shoulder remember he threw wild in the first
  13. how about torrealba fuentes for gregg willie glen and tucker
  14. i started a thread about De Aza earlier today he has a sprained ankle and is on the 60 day DL what i also heard is that he has muscular distrophy Oh God, I hope that's not the case. hope not that might end his career
  15. im bored have nothing to do... wat do you think about it weve been showing interest in them both
  16. Maybe Baker is the catcher the Marlins are looking for. The fact that he bats lefty could be an asset to the team. Also, his presence and demeanor seem to be more convincing than Treanor, Hoover or Rabelo. Hopefully he will get a lot of playing time. Nothing special to me. I still see Treanor as the starter when he comes back. He's been solid all year. The problem with Treanor is that he is not starting material. He is probably no better or any worse than Mike Redmond. If the bat can not compare with Uggla, Ramirez, or even Jacobs, why start Treanor? The news paper mentioned the possibility of getting Olivo back. Please NO. I understand if you're trying to find someone better but right there is no lights out player and Treanor has shown he can play solid. Catchers have historically been picked for their defense not necessarily their offense. With that said, Treanor has done a really good at the plate and played very good defense to the point where this team should not consider catching as a weakness and focus instead on securing relief pitching. Btw, any word on De Aza? i started a thread about De Aza earlier today he has a sprained ankle and is on the 60 day DL what i also heard is that he has muscular distrophy
  17. J Papelbon Or M. Rivera. can't go wrong. thier are both too much
  18. He's not very good. Yep. He's probably just a reserve OF with the Marlins. i disagree his first week he was batting around .300
  19. i kno that but dooes anybody kno when he is coming back??
  20. i kno that but dooes anybody kno when he is coming back??
  21. Taveras is someone you can buy low on. I would rather have him on my bench than Andino. Taveras:http://colorado.rockies.mlb.com/stats/indi...&statType=1 Andino: http://florida.marlins.mlb.com/stats/indiv...&statType=1 i wouldnt andino is better defensivly and has started to shag fly balls in center Taveras stats are better because he has had more abs
  22. that kinda sucks i always liked him as a centerfielder and hope he comes back good
  23. The pitching situation is far from worked out. We could use some bullpen help for sure. Another starter as well, in case someone struggles or someone gets hurt. With Sanchez due back at the end of the month, we're going to have an overcrowded rotation as it is. Why on Earth would we need another starter? You're making the assumption that everyone returns healthy and pitches well. This is the ideal situation, but not too likely. Let's see..... Nolasco Olsen JJ Miller Volstad (Mitre) (Sanchez) Hendrickson Tucker I think we might have a couple of guys that could start if the injury bug bites us again you can take Hendrickson off that list he can't pitch to save his life
  24. I think we can dangle Hermida or Jacobs for some good pitching. yeah, we should dangle them to try get either Erik Bedard or Brian Fuentes. forget erik he will never be able to pitch and we have enough starting pitching
