  1. Just imagine if Mark Cuban purchased the Marlins from Loria. We could finally keep some guys and acutally bring guys in without having to worry about losing money because Mark is all about winning. We could lock up guys like hermida, cantu, and others to long term contracts and i guarantee that sort of safety in confidence in the ownership would drive up attendance and our stadium would've been done by now. I am an NBA fan also and he does all he can to win with the Mavericks and he would be a dream come true. What do you guys think? Funny you should say that because about a year ago I wrote him an email suggesting he purchase the Marlins instead of the Cubs. I'm still waiting to hear back from him What makes you think he is going to write back
  2. We can't get rid of Cody! He's the best starting outfielder defensively(not counting Amezaga), and he really is a fan favorite. Yea, he is. Anyone at the game yesterday heard the Cody, Cody chants. We cant trade him, and hes been hot for like a month Trade Cody? Not if anyone in the front office values their safety. This is not the same as trading Miggy or Willis or anyone-this is CODY. Speaking of Cody Ross...did anyone know he's 87? Cody Joseph Ross (born December 23, 1920, in Portales, New Mexico), is an outfielder in Major League Baseball who plays for the Florida Marlins (2006-present). He was traded to the Marlins from the Reds for cash or a player to be named later. He previously played with the Detroit Tigers in 2003, as well as the Los Angeles Dodgers (2005-2006) and the Cincinnati Reds (2006). Ross played high school baseball in Carlsbad, New Mexico. That's from Wikipedia. Cody Ross Wikipedia lmfao :lol
  3. Over at the Mets board, theyre all talking about Tommy. What kind of comments did he make? I was at the game, so couldnt watch the broadcast obvously Which Mets board?
  4. De Aza has had some bad luck...getting injured in the final inning of the final game before opening day and getting injured last year on Opening Week
  5. M-E-T-S suck suck suck
  6. Ultimopain!!! My MLB.COM chat buddy!!! Yea I have seen a little bit of a change in his delivery it looks like it has helped he has been mighty solid of late! How were the mets fans tonight I didn't get a chance to talk tonight? lol i like your quotes :lol
  7. He is one of the slowest players I've ever seen. Hes 2x slower than Hammer. Jacobs is slower than Willingham...i like Manny even though he rolls on top of balls and cuts balls of from CF
  8. No!!!! Damn it i was hoping De Aza was going to come back he is my favorite CF in the organization

  12. i don't think we are ready to trade Scotty yet as he's pitched good this year despite all the ND
  13. Not sure I'm offering Olsen for Laird straight up. But seriously... Laird's going to be 29 in the offseason, and he had a seriously sucky year in 2007. If I'm Texas, I jump at an offer of Jacobs and Tucker for Laird. No way we would give up Tucker...Tucker is not going to get traded he is a furture stud and will become very good...The Marlins are going to do the same thing they did with Volstud to Tucker... He can be a future ace
  14. Hanley and Manny are really good friends from Hanley's Red Sox days, so maybe Hanley could influence Manny to coming here. Plus, they are both Dominican, live in Weston, imagine them playing together. Loria loves money and if we get Manny, the first few games would be a sellout no matter what. Bring him in! As much as i love MAnny playing for us i don't think Loria will bring him in
  15. i like Saltalammachia...he's from Royal Palm and he would love to play here
  16. The BoSox will not trade Manny they will keep him til the end of the season and then will let him go. Even though Manny would boost our ticket sales and will be an upgrade over Willingham (offensively) i just don't see the FO going after him it will take a lot of prospects for a three month rental

  19. Slow. Not really THAT good. No thanks. Having a hitting catcher who can play the position as well... would simply complete our lineup, and have the only one hole spot at 1st... if Molina was added to our attire... we would be unstoppable at bat. I don't see 1st as a ridiculously glaring hole. Catcher obviously needs an upgrade, but I wouldn't overpay for any of the backstops currently available. I would look at Jacobs for Molina an even deal. The Giants also demanding a pitching prospect should kill the deal immediately. 1st is still a hole though... its a free out every time Jacobs comes up. Sure he gets the HR's, but thats about all of his average Id be more willing to try McPherson at 1st and actually have a catcher, just dont deal away any of our starting pitching and Ill be fine. Jacobs Tucker De La Cruz and Rabelo would be my offer. For Molina!? Hell no maybe Jake and De La Cruz Ok I agree adding Tucker in there was a bit much... but De La Cruz and Rabelo are useless pieces... our catching depth with Molina becomes fine anyways... so its ok to trade a catcher... having Molina Treanor Baker and then Skipworth in time is good depth in my eyes... Jake is easy to deal because we have McPherson and Cantu can play opposite side... De La Cruz blows... he is just a minor league filler... if their asking price is high, as in they want a pitcher... Id be willing to give them Tucker... but its a heafty price. I just look at it because we have a lot of other pitchers to fall back on in Johnson Volstad Sanchez Mitre etc. etc. etc. for the future. I think when it comes down to a player like Molina, its not whats fair, its what you can afford. This year I really think the Marlins stand a chance... and you have to jump on that chance and make a run for it if you ever want to go anywhere... if it doesnt hurt our current team give them whatever they want (within reason) No i wouldn't add Tucker or Rabelo in the deal beacause Tucker has a lot of potential and Rabelo was one of the main pieces in the Cabrera deal...i dont see anyone from the Cabbs deal moving unless its De La Cruz or Badenhop or if they give us an offer for MIller we can't turn down
  20. Tank, Tucker, Jacobs, Molina, Some No-name No!! no Molina please i might be the only one that doesn't want Molina here but he won't be much of an upgrade at catching and i would prefer to go after Ross, Torrealba, or Pudge i thought Jacobs was the slowest guy in the MLB but not until i saw Molina
