Well, while I agree this is a misuse of the phrase "fairweather fan", I still think too many people hear are knee-jerky. Being realistic and basing your opinion on a single week where we played terribly isn't the same thing. It's not fairweather fan...more like fairweather comments. Opinions on this team change daily. Personally I think its almost certainly going to be Josh Johnson. He doesn't quite have the same stuff as Beckett did, but he reminds me of him in his presence on the mound. He's definitely a horse, and I'd put money on it that he's the one to break us out of our complete game slump. My darkhorse is Andrew Miller... to me he has the nastiest stuff of any pitcher in our organization, but he's got to learn how to pitch to get guys out on weak contact, instead of always going for the strikeout. Although control is probably EVERY young pitchers biggest hurdle.
