July 25, 200817 yr Ok, it was kinda dramatic with Hermida's bomb. Josh Johnson pitched well, again. The Bullpen is on fire right now. The bats... good enough for today.
July 25, 200817 yr The offense needs to step it up, but that's a pretty redundant statement. Good win though!
July 25, 200817 yr Good job fish. props to cantu.hermida and gregg :thumbup people counted us out yesterday so im guessing we r back in it right? lol
July 25, 200817 yr Only the second OK start for a pitcher in the 2nd half, and it was JJ again. Glad to have him back.
July 25, 200817 yr Not the most dramatic of wins, but I will take it! w00t! 9th inning homers aren't dramatic?
July 25, 200817 yr Not the most dramatic of wins, but I will take it! w00t! are you kidding me? this one had me on the edge of my seat for the most part I have to say one of the most heart-wrenching wins of the year cubs left NINE men on base from inning 4 to 8
July 25, 200817 yr Author Not the most dramatic of wins, but I will take it! w00t! 9th inning homers aren't dramatic? not unless it's a home game. :thumbup

July 25, 200817 yr Only the second OK start for a pitcher in the 2nd half, and it was JJ again. Glad to have him back. Well, Volstad's start against the Braves should qualify, if JJ's start today does. The bullpen won it today. Hermida huge HR...that's good for him. Maybe we won't hear the words "bust" and his name mentioned in the same sentence today.
July 25, 200817 yr Not the most dramatic of wins, but I will take it! w00t! 9th inning homers aren't dramatic? not unless it's a home game. :thumbup false 9th inning homers to take the lead are dramatic in the top and a little more in the bottom
July 25, 200817 yr Not the most dramatic of wins, but I will take it! w00t! 9th inning homers aren't dramatic? not unless it's a home game. :thumbup Why? Because Rich and Tommy don't scream?
July 25, 200817 yr Not the most dramatic of wins, but I will take it! w00t! Tell that to my stomach. It was tingling the entire bottom of the 9th inning. A 1-run comeback win, on the road, against the best home team in the NL. Dramatic, imo.

July 25, 200817 yr Damn...you know, if our bullpen keeps shutting teams down in this second half, I might start agreeing with GoFish in saying our bullpen is our strong suit...what a turnaround. Of course, there is still only a small sample to say they've had a turnaround, but it's an impressive small sample. Nice start by JJ, again. Nice bullpen. Nice Hermida, nice Cantu, and nice Uggla (for hustling from 1st to home...wish his bat would start up). And nice Gregg, for not giving me a heart attack. A one two three against the middle of heart of the line up...if it wasn't for Hermes Homie, I'd give him the PotG, just for not sending me to the hospital.
