Just imagine if Mark Cuban purchased the Marlins from Loria. We could finally keep some guys and acutally bring guys in without having to worry about losing money because Mark is all about winning. We could lock up guys like hermida, cantu, and others to long term contracts and i guarantee that sort of safety in confidence in the ownership would drive up attendance and our stadium would've been done by now. I am an NBA fan also and he does all he can to win with the Mavericks and he would be a dream come true.

What do you guys think?

Funny you should say that because about a year ago I wrote him an email suggesting he purchase the Marlins instead of the Cubs. I'm still waiting to hear back from him

What makes you think he is going to write back

Especially a year later, LOL.

Cuban is about Winning, but he's not going to get butt raped with losses in revenue either. Cubs have a VERY loyal fan base, sellouts even in losing seasons. IDK if we've had one yet.

I think the biggest draw in Miami for Cuban is that his last name is Cuban. No one will show up til September.

Chris (I'm cuban, incase someone decides to call me a racist pig)

Loria has money. I know he makes it sound like he doesn't, but he does. If he wanted to increase payroll, he could.

exactly, he has spent $20 million to his alma matter art school so he could get his name on a building, if he wanted to he could have spent that money on Cabrera and Willis for another year.

This thread should honestly be deleted.

yeah, at first i thought this thread was about the Sportcenter segment "My Wish" and was going to tell him nice thread but move it over the MLB forums

you dont understand just how much the Wrigley-ness, and the city of Chicago is about the Cubs.. Cuban would take the Cubs over the Marlins every day of his life
