Who should we trade for??

Featured Replies

If baker keeps balling then i guess we can cool of the catcher option for a bit. So then focus on pitching and if we can find another outfielder so we can bench hermida's scrub ass. If its a CFer then put cody in right or if its a RF then put cody in center.

probably a jacobs but he has had great offensive numbers (other than his average) and put cantu at first

who should we get?

baker at C, call dallas up, cantu at 1B, everyone else is fine. starting pitching or relief pitching is always necessary. jacobs isn't.

cody doesnt really have the arm strength to play right...

how about hermida and some unknown people for nady??

We need someone to step into Hermida's spot, or to at least light a fire under his ass.

That said, I wouldn't want to trade him for a rental, since I still think he will one day put it together and be more than solid.

Other than bringing in a reliever, I dont see any dire needs. Catcher is an issue, but unless the front office can pry away a top tier guy (Victor Martinez anyone?), I wouldn't bother. I have no reason to believe David Ross (or others in his class) can help this team more than John Baker.

I went with relief pitching. A name that the Fish might go after is Ron Mahay of the Royals. He is a former Marlin, and it wouldn't be a huge deal, but just a solid guy in the pen. He is 5-0, with a 1.87 ERA.

lol

what do you think we will have to give up for nady?

Probably Hermida and a top prospect, like Maybin.

That is to much.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much.

lol

I dont think it would be wise to even trade one of those guys for Nady

Well I think Nady is better than Hermida, and if Jeremy continues with this slump, than his trade value will just keep on going down.

how about fuentes and torrealba for gregg and maybin??

You do understand Maybin was the main part of the Cabrera/Willis trade, right?

Hey are you Steve Phillips?

Nope, that's Omar Minaya.
