July 11, 200817 yr We need someone to step into Hermida's spot, or to at least light a fire under his ass. That said, I wouldn't want to trade him for a rental, since I still think he will one day put it together and be more than solid.

July 11, 200817 yr Other than bringing in a reliever, I dont see any dire needs. Catcher is an issue, but unless the front office can pry away a top tier guy (Victor Martinez anyone?), I wouldn't bother. I have no reason to believe David Ross (or others in his class) can help this team more than John Baker.
July 11, 200817 yr I went with relief pitching. A name that the Fish might go after is Ron Mahay of the Royals. He is a former Marlin, and it wouldn't be a huge deal, but just a solid guy in the pen. He is 5-0, with a 1.87 ERA.

I dont think it would be wise to even trade one of those guys for Nady Well I think Nady is better than Hermida, and if Jeremy continues with this slump, than his trade value will just keep on going down.
