I'd watch you get beat up if that counts Eh, close enough.

grey road jerseys
I just don't see how a team does not have a grey jersey. We have it, we just don't wear it. The light blue was considered a shade of grey then and distinguishing enough from white to be worn.

Fourth of July Post Game Thread.
Game should have been 3-2 when that ball fell past Holliday. I'm convinced Reed only stopped at 2nd because Solano was coming back. He easily could have been on third instead of Solano. Between Solano and that Umpire- we never had a chance to win the game.

Marlins @ Cardinals FOURTH OF JULY 'MURICA SPECIAL
Salty is pretty useless in the clutch. I'd like to see him start sitting in defensive situations. When we have the lead late or when we have someone who is wild on the mound. I really want to see Mathis catch Heaney from here on out.

- Kolek Debut
Kolek pitched again today (lost), five days after his debut, so I would guess they probably are going to us every five to six games. If that holds true he'll possibly pitch Thurs or Fri in Jupiter against the Cards Being I live in the deep south, I wish I knew which day to take off and head up lol!- Dietrich to the DL, Marisnick Back Up.
You all know what this is a link to. If you don't want to read an article about the black hole at second base, don't click on it. Cool? Cool. http://www.therunnersports.com/2014/07/04/miami-marlins-send-derek-dietrich-dl-creating-black-hole-second-base/ Cool.- Say, Kind Sirs and Madams......

PS: I'd fight you though. Me think I no be alone- 7/3 Post Game
Because this is at least the second instance that you've referred to about you getting into some kind of altercation at Marlins Park. Unless this is the same incident as the other one in the Clevelander--you aren't very clear. If fighting is a part of evolution, its role is to weed out the dimwits--people who don't know how to solve a problem with their brains so they resort to violence. Near the Clevelander, I've never been in there. It's the same incident. Fighting works- you fight for promotions, fight for girls, fight for justice.... a fight doesn't involve need to involve a physical attack to be a fight. Whithout a fight to do betterthan the next guy, we'd all be stuck in the past.- Marlins make several early international deals
Waste of money. These f***ing Hispanics are showy and lazy. We need scrappy, hardworking players with hustle and heart. Even the president thinks so- Penguin Boy isn't American. He's a dirty alien.- 7/3 Post Game
What the hell are you talking about? I was responding to Piazza's post. There's something to be said for jumping to conclusions and not knowing all the facts. If you care to know them, you can look through some threads from 2012 and find it. Long story short, eventually found to be self defense. What's wrong with a little fighting? Without it, in one form or another- the world would never advance.- grey road jerseys
I know its a fashion jersey but I'm just saying it could be the basis of an alternate blue down the line. More importantly, where'd u here the speculation of a powder blue jersey? I wanna know more of that. Sources.... Squalls Sources.- grey road jerseys
I don't think the gray gets completely ditched for a couple reasons. Number 1, even though it doesn't likely sell well it is still for sale and may generate some revenue. Secondly, some minor league affiliates of the fish still use it, as seen like a week or two ago when Tyler Kolek made his pro debut wearing that jersey. Also, related but unrelated topic , yesterday at the team store I noticed they're now selling a blue version of the Marlins orange jersey. It's the light blue that is in our logo, the jersey has the same Marlins wordmark as our orange jersey and it's got white piping on the sleeves and collar. It's quite beautiful especially because it's a unique blue that no other team in baseball uses. It's like lighter than blue teams like the cubs and Mets but darker than the power/sky blue of the Royals and Rays. I've always thought that jersey could become an official alternate down the line. Maybe this is the start of that change. I saw several people wearing it throughout the ballpark and some even already got theirs customized and the orange numbers and white lettering was used. The team store had it as an only available here exclusive item. It also was clearly not some random fashion jersey as it was made with the same quality of a replica jersey and was made by majestic as if it was an official jersey. It's a fashion jersey only, majestic made it out of the same materials. The fact the marlins drop shadow across the script is still blue and not another color bothers me because it's washed out a bit. It may be used later as an alternate but it will need to be altered for that use. The gray jersey is probably going to get changed by adding a different script, a different color "Miami" (maybe black instead of the current white" or as some have speculated- changed to powder blue like the 1970's and 80's road jerseys of the royals and other teams.- Dietrich to the DL, Marisnick Back Up.
That means more playing time for the Phillies Player of the Game from yesterday: This fucking guy reminds me of every gas station attendant that mixes up 15 and 50.- Astros trade talks with Marlins?

I think it's the most you've written. I've blathered on much more than that. I prefer one sentence insults and the occasional ignored paragraph. It's going to be hard to scroll past that for everyone.- Kolek Debut
Where can I see when he's scheduled for his next start?- Hand recalled; Koehler to Paternity List
I haven't heard much Carl Pavano on the air, but from I have heard, he's terrible. Not in a Preston Wilson annoying douche kind of way, but in a "he's too awkward to be on the air" kind of a way. I think Pavanos still in post game interview mode. He'll loosen up if Minervini was more relaxed and downplayed the reporter mode he has. Pavano has a chance, but he needs to be more - human - and not care about how it comes off. Wilson is trying to impress, I'm sure he's much different if you met him at the Mall or something. Both of these people are holding back their true personality and just spitting sports clichés. They are inhibited by what the press will say and I don't think they realize in the moment they are the press. They have the chance to say and do anything they please, and are afraid of what the repercussions are. I wrote too much.- Astros trade talks with Marlins?
Marlins have had 3 owners, yeah? Huizenga, Henry, Loria. Yeah, I'd go with Huizenga as best. If put Lora over Henry, and as influential as Huizenga puttin a team here was, making sure they stayed here in my opinion is just as important. Maybe even more. If it failed the first time I don't think we'd get another chance. What Wayne did killed attendance for the franchise going on 16 years. Even in 2003 when we were on out way to the World Series our attendance sucked because "they are just going to break up the team anyway" and when we couldn't resign Pudge because of that ridiculous lease Wayne signed with himself - "look, they are doing it again!" Even after we went out and got a perrenial AL MVP contender in Delgado it was "he's gone next year anyway, so what" and fans still didn't care. Huizenga may have done a lot for the Marlins, but his lasting legacy is what he did in 1998 and the teams paid for it ever since. 2006 was a necessity. 1998 was anger over not turning enough of a profit. While 1998 brought my favorite player here, and really made me a fan of baseball- the effects of that season on the reputation of the franchise can't be ignored. Shoot- even some reporters lump that in with Lorias legacy, and he was busy running the Expos into DC.- 7/3 Post Game
Knowing me I wouldve stood up and got in that douche face and dared him to do something.. Then sit right back down on those seats. I ended up getting into fight in 2012 with some drunk pirates fans who snuck down in the 8th inning. Not my proudest moment. Although the thank you's I got was well worth it. Realistically, I would have invited those two groups to sit next to you. Moments like that are teaching lessons for younger kids on how not to act. Good for you for not adding fuel to the fire. My experience is Pennsylvania sports fans are the worst.- grey road jerseys
when's the last time the team wore them? and is there any other team who never wears grey on the road? Forgot to add the White Sox wore black all one year, and I believe the mets as well.- grey road jerseys
2012 was the last time they were seen in the regular season. 2013 we saw the USMC grey camos on Memorial Day, and the Miami marlins 1957 throwbacks only This year we may see it in the all star game , but i doubt well see it otherwise. My money is on the grey being changed by next year. - Kolek Debut
