Marlins: Now that the defending world champions have re-signed Castillo and extended Lowell's contract, GM Admin Beinfest said a multi-year offer has been made to free agent catcher Ivan Rodriguez. The deal is believed to be for two years, $16 million. Rodriguez's agent, Scott Boras, is reviewing the proposal. The Marlins face a Sunday deadline to sign the veteran catcher. Beinfest confirmed negotiations continue to resign free agent reliever Chad Fox. However, closer Ugueth Urbina, a free agent, is not likely to return. oh well.
