Bill Cowher Resigns
If I'm not mistaken he resigned, he didn't retire. There's a big difference. ya, dude is way too young to retire as a coach. He's probably burt out. He's been there for 20 years 15, but close enough...

LT named AP Offensive Player MVP
drew brees helped the saints in their resurrection of their team. i'm shocked he got so little votes though. i would like to know who voted for peyton? i hope they don't cheat sean payton out of his coach of the year award though. lt and brees were part of the vick trade, rivers, merimann and a couple of others were part of the eli trade. the chargers gyped both of them, nether of them are doing much of anything. Brees did a great job this year, but LT had an ALL-TIME type year, so I have no problem with him winning it. I was rooting for Brees to take the Comeback player award, but they gave it to...ugh, a Jet.

Psst, Bill...I hear it's nice in Miami.

Raiders fire Art Shell
Nobody's going to want that job. The Crypt Keeper (or Al Davis, whatever you prefer) is going to have to coach that mess himself.

So who are the idiots that didn't vote for LT? Broncos fans, maybe.

Dolphins Coaching Candidates
Anyone interested in Steve Mariucci? If I may answer that with a quote from the Austin Powers trilogy: How 'bout NOOOOO Enough of this revolving door in coaching. The Dolphins need one of the following: A proven winner (a Holmgren, Belichick, Dungy, etc.) but chances are that IS NOT happening. So the next best thing is hiring a top NFL assistant or coordinator like a Norm Chow. Seemed to work for the Saints and even...ugh, the Jets. I wouldnt mind Cam Cameron at all. Ugh. Why would any Fin fan want a guy who was 18-37 as a college football coach???? The dude couldn't hack it at Indiana University, why would he be good for the Dolphins? I could have the Chargers as a top 10 offense with the type of weapons they have. JUST SAY NO TO CAM CAMERON!!!! I am not trying to bash the dophins but Rivers, LT and Gates are much better than Harrington/Culpepper/Lemon, Brown and McMicheals. He has good numbers at SD because of the talent they have on that side of the ball. I dont think that exists in miami right now. Well, sure, you're going to have big numbers when you have 2 players on offense that are the best at their positions. Rivers, on the other hand, is average. Atleast for the time being. It's still early.

Dolphins Coaching Candidates
I'll like to Jimmy Johnson take the helm. I know he left in bad terms but I think Jimmy is man for the job.. Based on what? He was great as far as drafting goes, but all he did down here as coach was...nothing. Oh yeah, and hire some guy named Wannstedt. Pff. Didn't jimmy take the fins to playoffs?? Didn't Jimmy draft hall of fame caliber players?? Jimmy has 3 rings for something and handed Berry one too.. Yes and yes, but I would follow that first yes up with...62-7 I guess Jimmy was the one who threw all those ints.... Nope, but he coached. And if coaches get fired nowaday for the way their teams perform then JJ atleast gets some of the blame for that game.

Why do Charlie's friends sound like Michael Jackson from South Park? EDIT: Ok. I saw it in it's entirety. Mmmm...Mmm....no, doesn't even get a "Meh" out of me.

Chow would also fit in the "Maybe" pile. I don't want any recycled head coaches unless the Fins manage to get one of the established coaches, which is doubtful. Please, no Mularkey or Capers. They fit under "recycled" and they're not helping the situation. See what they did in Buffalo and Houston, Wayne? Stay away.

Dolphins need a lot of help....they are going no where with a horrible O-Line....aging stars Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor, a RB who doesn't live up to expectations, and an injured Daunte. Good luck.... Thomas lead the NFL in tackles and JT had a career year. Those old farts...

Hehe, leave it to LeBatard to rip Saban a new one. But as many have said already, it's not like you're losing a great coach or something. He hasn't really done anything here. But still, what a windbag. Always so indignant when questions come his way, getting angry at the mere mention of Alabama, and then this. :lol Shoo, move along Nick. No, you're right about that one. Everyone just about wanted him out of here even before the rumors picked up steam earlier in the week. I just hope they find a stable replacement that can draft and...WIN.

I guess we need to start the "Bring Pete Carroll to Miami" petition. My name will not by on that petition. I think I'd rather sign the "Jim Bates For Miami Coach" petition...

It's a good thing I didn't seek the jerk out to sign my football on Fan Appreciation Day last year. Get out. Good riddance. He was a failure in all that he did anyway.
