NFL Experience
I was there Saturday. It was pretty cool, long lines though. We didn't wait around all day for Zach Thomas and Ronnie Brown who were signing at 7pm. Ending up getting Al Harris, Wil Allen, Sinorice Moss and Mercury Morris. That list for Thursday is absolutely amazing.... I saw Harris, Moss, and Will Allen there. As well as Duane Starks and Desmond Howard (who took Kearse's place), but I didn't think they were worth the lines that I saw. I did manage to get Zach, Ronnie, and Keith Byars. There was no line for Byars. There was a huge line for Dan Morgan though. I ended up waiting over a 1/2 hour in the line only to be told that you must accompany a kid under 12 in order to get an autograph which pissed me off quite a bit. It was at the Home Depot Kids Workshop towards the main entrance. If I had known Mercury were there I would have sought him out. Dammit. Hopefully I'll be able to leave work at 5 on the dot Thursday and make it for one of those marquee guys. There's going to be a hell of alot of scrub players there also. Egh.

NHL---More Embarassing News
That's pretty sad. But other than the fact that it was on a channel that no one knows exists, the fact that it was on a Wednesday hurt it big time.

NFL Experience
I agree that it's more kid-friendly than anything else. I was there from the time it opened until it closed, but only because I was waiting on the autograph sessions with Ronnie Brown and Zach Thomas. The tent with all the memo. from around the country was pretty cool though. Prices weren't through the roof either like they were at the official NFL Team Store. That was just ridiculous.

Top 10 Films of 2006
I don't even think I liked 10 movies out of the ones that I saw in 2006. Borat is definitely worthy of making that list. Pirates of the Carribean was ok. Click had it's moments. Slow year overall if you ask me.

Bush flips into 5,000 Fine
That's just stupid. If you're going to fine Bush for what he did then why not fine Merriman every time he performs his stupid little dance? Maybe fine a guy for spinning the ball and signaling a first down.

Heat @ Knicks
Williams is in. Zo is sick. It happens. What's so unlucky about that?

Shaq, Wade to start All-Star Game
Let's not be ridiculous. The player pool consists of active NBA players. Though they did let Magic back that one year after he got voted in (he was retired). Shaq's been active for like 3 games this year. Him getting in is completely retarded, and there really is no way of defending it. The fans want to see him. That's all David Stern needs to hear.

The Dolphins could have used him now that Garrett has taken the OC position in Dallas.

Opening day Fish vs Nats @ 1:05pm
Don't worry. The Marlins are going to play the Nationals more than one time. This isn't worth missing anything over. blasphemy Opening Day is a National Holiday That's true. It is in most MLB cities. Unfortunately, for the most part, it isn't in Florida. :confused

NFL Experience
We're going Sunday @ 4pm. I have never been to a NFL Experience. How exactly is it like? Does it take place inside the stadium instead of the parking lot? What kinds of games are there? How do the autograph sessions work? We have our tickets on will call. Will that be a problem if it's outside the stadium? Thank you! It's going to be my first time also, but they did have a special section in the Herald yesterday describing events, exhibits and what not. They'll have games where you can kick an extra point, catch a punt, throw the ball, etc. Should be fun. I'm not sure how the autographs work though. Hopefully they don't make you go through a process where you have to get a ticket for a certain session. That would suck. :thumbdown EDIT: Players Appearing Saturday: Will Allen Ronnie Brown Sinorice Moss Jevon Kearse Zach Thomas AJ Feeley (LOL) Dan Morgan Dwayne Starks Wes Welker Jason Garrett Marty Booker Kevin Carter Keith Traylor

Shaq, Wade to start All-Star Game
Shaquille O'Neal will have one additional game to re-establish his chemistry with Dwyane Wade as he works his way back into game shape following November knee surgery. The Heat players will be teammates -- and starters -- on the Eastern Conference team at the Feb. 18 NBA All-Star Game in Las Vegas. O'Neal and Wade join Washington's Gilbert Arenas, Toronto's Chris Bosh and Cleveland's LeBron James as the East's starters and top vote-getters. It is the 14th All-Star appearance for O'Neal, who was voted a starter by fans despite missing 37 of the Heat's first 41 games with a knee injury. O'Neal has surgery Nov. 19 to repair torn cartilage in his left knee. O'Neal played in Wednesday's road loss to the Pacers, his first game since he sustained the injury in a Nov. 12 home loss to the Rockets. Wade will make his third All-Star appearance in four seasons in the league. Wade, last season's NBA Finals Most Valuable Player, is the league's fourth-leading scorer at 28.3 points a game. Houston's Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady, Minnesota's Kevin Garnett, San Antonio's Tim Duncan and the Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant will start for the West.

Maggette To Heat?
Since Kapono and Walker have emerged, I really don't wanna do any trades anymore. Let's not forget Jason Williams. He's looked his best since coming to Miami in the last week or 2. Kapono is killing it though. I really hope they hold a spot for him in the 3 point shootout. If not I'm going to have to hurt people.

NHL All-Star Game 06-07
How come the switched the game this year to a Wednesday? Thought that was kind of strange. I would think more people would watch on a Sunday. Especially with this weekend being a bye week for the NFL.

Hurricanes Release 2007 Football Schedule
It's nice to see some fresh teams on the schedule even though some aren't very good. The OK game will be a major draw though. Should be a good one.

Maggette To Heat?
Giving up Ben Gordon for Gasol wouldn't be such a great move, but that's just me. As for Maggette...Eh. Not really interested. He's pretty inconsistent himself and isn't a great defender. I think I'd rather keep the roster as-is seeing how they're now just getting healthy.

SHAQ PLAYING TONIGHT.
He's only playing a handful of minutes. It's probably going to be that way for the next week, week & 1/2. Regardless, great to see him back. We haven't had our full starting 5 on the floor since June, so it's definitely a good thing to see.

FanFest 2007
The Marlins do a good job with Fan Fest. I got there early last year and met Dontrelle within 15 mins. of arriving, so I plan on getting there once it opens. Admission is still free, right? The only charges are for parking?

NFL Experience
I called the number which the NFL provided for updates on the event (including player apperances) which is 1-888-635-2273 (or 1-888-NFL-CARD) and they gave me NOTHING. The voice recording said to check back in mid-January for updates. It's the 24th. I'm aggrivated. This would have never happened under Tagliabue's watch! :nono
