Ghost Rider
It was better than I thought it would be. Marvel usually does a pretty good job with big screen adaptations of their comics (lets forget about Daredevil and Hulk) and this was no exception. It wasn't great like the Spider-Man films, but it was still enjoyable.

NBA All-Star Weekend
Tonight we have the Skills Competition, 3-Point Shootout and the Dunk Competition followed by the actual game tomorrow night. Any picks to win tonight's events? I could care less about the Dunk Competition. There isn't much that can be done any more and after what happened last year I'm convinced there is more time spent on attempting dunks than the other 2 events. As for the shootout and skills comps. - Wade and Kapono, obviously :thumbup DUNK COMPETITION New York?s Nate Robinson will defend his crown in the 2007 Sprite Slam Dunk competition to be held on NBA All-Star Saturday Night presented by EA SPORTS?, Feb. 17 at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Robinson will compete against three first-time entrants ? Boston's Gerald Green, who is an alumnus of the NBA Development League, Orlando?s Dwight Howard and Chicago?s Tyrus Thomas ? for this year's title. SKILLS COMPETITION Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade will defend his PlayStation? Skills Challenge title against three of the league's biggest stars on Feb. 17 as part of NBA All-Star Saturday Night at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. The competitors hoping to deny Wade's quest for a repeat are the Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant, the Cleveland Cavaliers' LeBron James and the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets' Chris Paul. 3-POINT SHOOTOUT The Dallas Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki will look to defend his title in this year's Foot Locker Three-Point Shootout which will be held on NBA All-Star Saturday Night presented by EA SPORTS?, Feb. 17 at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Nowitzki will compete against Gilbert Arenas, Damon Jones, Jason Kapono, Mike Miller, and his teammate, Jason Terry.

Carlos Mencia gets called out by Joe Rogan
http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f42/carlos-m...e-rogan-279157/ That was awesome. Just saw the video. Good for Joe Rogan... ... ...and I mean good for him as in he's found something to do AFTER Fear Factor. I take it you don't watch the UFC as he's been doing commentary for it for years. I have not bitten on that trend, no...

Hardaway Hates Gays
I just think it's funny how everyone is appalled by what the man is saying, yet the reality is that most of the players in NBA probably feel the same exact way. Hardaway was just the first to say it.

Dennis Rodman and the HOF
If many "experts" I've heard out there don't think guys like Reggie Miller and Alonzo Mourning are Hall of Famers I'm going to have a tough time believing Rodman has a chance, despite all his jewlery.

Scottie Pippen
What exactly does he have left to accomplish? At this point I'm going to go ahead and say that he just misses the game. There isn't anything else to accomplish.

Is this as big a deal around the country as it is in South Florida? I know Stern came out and banned Tim from the All-Star game festivities, but other than that is there a big uproar about his comments? Turn on SportsCenter and find out Enough said.

Audioslave Breaks Up
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Audioslave singer Chris Cornell has quit the short-lived "supergroup," citing "irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences," he said on Thursday. Cornell, 42, who rose to fame with defunct Seattle rock group Soundgarden, will reignite his solo career with the May 1 release of "Carry On," his second solo album. "Due to irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences, I am permanently leaving the band Audioslave. I wish the other three members nothing but the best in all of their future endeavors," the part-time Paris restaurateur said in a statement. The Audioslave split was not unexpected. His colleagues, guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk, have reunited with singer Zack de la Rocha to resurrect their former band Rage Against the Machine, which will play its first show in seven years at California's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 29. Rage's plans beyond this show are unknown. Audioslave formed in 2001, a year after Rage broke up, and recorded three studio albums. In May 2005, it became the first American band to play an outdoor show in Cuba. Its most recent album, "Revelations," has sold a disappointing 409,000 copies in the United States since its September 2006 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Its self-titled 2002 debut sold 3.1 million copies, and the 2005 follow-up "Out of Exile" 1.1 million. Amid rumors last August that Audioslave had broken up, Cornell told Reuters that the band was like a sociology experiment because of the various members' complex relationships with each other. He indicated that a solo existence could be a less stressful option. "I think the biggest problem with people surviving in a band and getting along and appreciating each other is just the fact that for the most part musicians aren't the kind of people who concentrate or worry about what the other guy thinks," he said. "Carry On," produced by Steve Lillywhite (U2, Rolling Stones), marks Cornell's first solo release since 1999's "Euphoria Morning," which came out two years after Soundgarden broke up. The Interscope Records release will include "You Know My Name," Cornell's main title song for the latest James Bond film "Casino Royale," as well as a cover of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean." Among the brand new tunes are "No Such Thing" and "Poison Eye," both described in the statement as having a "harder edge," and the "redemptive" song "Your Soul Today." The statement also described Cornell as "acrimonious," which a publicist said was the intended term.

NBA Trade Deadline
There is an ESPN insider blurb about Bibby possibly coming to Miami??? If anyone has it, please post. thanks. He would be a nice addition, but the Heat has NOTHING to offer. Though I'm sure a few fans in Sacramento wouldn't mind getting J-Will back.

Carlos Mencia gets called out by Joe Rogan
This guy stole an idea that a local morning show (105.9) suggested to him and never gave them credit until the hosts called him out the next time he was on. Personally, I can't stand the guy. I think he's annoying and unfunny. Why his show is so popular will always be a mystery to me.

Good for him for speaking his mind. More people should. But yeah, he probably should have kept quiet here.

NBA Trade Deadline
If I'm going to be involved in a trade with the Bulls I would want Gordon or Hinrich. Especially if I'm Memphis and looking to build with younger guys. Hinrich can't be traded because he signed an extension this year. That's part of the CBA. Deng is probably better then Gordon anyways. Didn't know that he signed an extension. But he CAN be traded after a certain period of time, as can other players who have signed or re-signed with teams this past offseason. That's why guys like Bonzi Wells are surrounded by rumors.

DOLPHINS TO MAKE SLIGHT CHANGE TO UNIFORMS The Dolphins' uniform is about to undergo a subtle change for 2007, even as the team studies bolder transformation. The Dolphins are expected to alter the font on their numbers by thinning out the blue outline for the 2007 season. A Dolphins representative confirmed Monday that the possibility exists, although other sources are saying the change is practically a certainty. Club representative Harvey Greene also tried to extinguish Internet reports that the Dolphins logo is being redesigned. ''The Dolphins logo is not being changed,'' Greene said. ``I know there are rumors out there, but they are not true.'' The Dolphins will make the uniform alteration in response to complaints from fans and television networks that have said reading the numbers from a distance is difficult. Miami's coloring scheme and font type is such that the numbers 6 and 8 are sometimes indistinguishable -- meaning a tackle by Jeff Zgonina sometimes looks as if it was made by Matt Roth, and vice versa. The change would correct that problem, the team hopes. Even as that subtle alteration is made, the team will continue to study the idea of a bolder transformation. The Dolphins have considered updating the uniform for some time, and the next move in that process is to seat focus groups that would view possible changes and give opinions on those. The Dolphins modified their logo in 1997, making the dolphin seem more aggressive, among other things. The previous logo had been in use since 1972 -------------------------------- If they do plan on making bigger changes in the future here's what the need to do: same logo, old colors, old Marino-era uniforms. Sweetness.

You'd think a team would fire a coach right after their playoff loss rather than give him a vote of confidence and...yeah, fire him months later after a good number of candidates are off the market - including 2 in-house coaches.
