Okay... This is just a random thread. Is anyone else upset that the 2007 Opening day is at 1:05 on Monday? I have Chemistry Lab at 12:30 :banghead . I cannot miss that class so I am screwed. Usually opening day is at 4pm. Argh.... I wait all winter for this day and I will be in Chemistry :killthemall

Holly, our home opener is Friday, April 6 at 7:35 PM against the Phillies. You won't have to miss it.

I get out of class at 11:50 so I should get home just in time to see the first pitch. Im going to be pissed if the MLB package goes only to direct tv and I have to watch another season on my computer again though.

You could allways tape the game holister....it's sorta like watching it live...just you get to fast forword to through the commercials and everyone teases you saying there going to tell you what happens...hehe...... by the way, are you guys going to the home opener

I work until 6, so its gona suck for me too. But thats why I have a VCR, but u never know i could take that day off. Never ever like to miss the 1st game of the season.

I used to do that :mischief .. Since I only have class 3 days a week and dont need to anymore.

if it was at 4 in washington i could get to the game althought a 6 hour drive there and back would be a pain

That's true. It is in most MLB cities. Unfortunately, for the most part, it isn't in Florida. :confused

yea im upset that i don't get TV for the game and Amtrak's schedules screw me over so I can get to the game fine, but they have no trains to New Haven after 3pm...I find that hard to believe....

 

although I COULD take an overnight train and be back for class

Opening Day is great. Spring training beginning is good. But in the end it's just 1 of 162. I hope game number 150 means something playoff wise for the Marlins. If not this year, then next year. If not next year then 2009. Hope springs eternal at this time of the baseball year. Holly...go to your lab and look forward to going to the Marlins home opener and the spring training exhibitions you go to.

Yea i was kind of mad that we opened here against Philly at night... Opening day is suppose to be about classic Day baseball.. Cook out, enjoy the day, not under the lights dammit!

It'd solve all your problems.

My experience is that labs can be made up if it's on the same campus and during the designated lab period of one of the professor's class. Tell them a good excuse and they'll make accommodations.

 

I've already requested off work. Now just to buy tickets.
