Buckeye
Enjoy retirement, coach - we'll miss you. No we won't. Heh, Cowher was the 28th, 28TH!!!!, highest paid coach in pro football. and the Steelers wouldn't give him a contract extension after the Super Bowl. Talk about cheap. *runs*

JetsMania
If the dolphins did want him, they would probably need to give up some draft picks since he still is under contract.
Bryan
If I'm not mistaken he resigned, he didn't retire. There's a big difference.

MarlinFan10
Since Saban claims Huizenga stole him in the middle of the night against his will, perhaps Wayne can do the same with Cowher since apparently the freewill of coaches can't stand up to Wayne Huizenga. Mauer7
I agree that he'll probably take a break and coach a team in '08 or '09. I think the dolphins should promote from within for a year (or two) and then they could sign Cowher and that person could back to his orig. spot. Sure, let's slap Thomas and Taylor in the face and let them waste away with some unqualified coach while the Fins tank the next 2 seasons waiting on Cowher. Awesome. PhxPhin
cowher has long been one of my favorite coaches - he is more than welcome to come up to seattle after holmgren hangs them up he's had a long run though - 15 years as a coach in the NFL is a pretty much a career

PitchingWinsGames
I'd personally prefer Whisenhunt for two reasons... first and most obvious being that he is a good coach... secondly... if he leaves, he'll make some sort of "destroy pittsburgh" gameplan that will exploit that defense tremendously.... or so I fear...
