great gimmick for the Marlins, since they are always yielding a small team of manatees and mermaids, even if they want to pay them it won't cost too much, and it may bring in some extra fans. The Marlins know how to take traditions out of baseball. I remember going to the games and seeing some DJ now at the games? I can understand a dance team for some odd reason and even the Manatees, but when you try and do some of these kind of things such as DJ's, pools, and other extra stuff that has nothing to do with the game itself, it kinda takes away from what people go to the games for, the actual game. I understand they want to bring in a diverse crowd obviously, and that it brings in a lot of extra cash for them, just for me it feels that the marlins are recently taking away from trying to put the best product on the field, and focusing more on extra ways to bring in cash. Yes, i understand its a business, but they have a responsibility to the fans who have stuck with the team to try and use some of that extra cash being brought in to bring in some of the major free agents and improve the team sometimes in a lavish way, rather than try and sneek by every year with an average to above average product that always seems to shock everybody, but never seems to reach the playoffs. /rant you're going to hate that ferris wheel they plan on adding to the stadium then

he hasn't owned the team in a decade. marlins fans shouldn't give a damn about what the guy does anymore. i can understand why some people still hold a grudge, but seriously, it's time to get over it already. he didn't dispatch a dozen mayflower trucks & move the team to indianapolis over night. he broke the team up at it's highest point & it sucked, but they won another title 5 years later & i think most of the hate for wayne should have gone out the window with it. you can dislike the guy all you want for that 1 move, but if it weren't for him there wouldn't even be a baseball team in this city - or a hockey a team. and as far as his ownership of the dolphins go, he did a pretty good job overall. i don't love the guy, but i sure as hell don't hate him & the people that do need to move the hell on.

The NFL needs to fix the screw-ups in the delay of game penalty. There shouldn't be this second or two second freebie some teams get from some back judges. i thought so too at first, but the 4 letter network showed a pretty clear replay. where the refs did [bleep] up though by is not calling a delay of game on baltimore with about 2:30 left on the game - on 3rd & 5 i think it was.
