6/25/2015 St. Louis Cardinals (MLB) at Miami Marlins (Little League)
Looking forward to a Marlin hitting a lazy fly ball. Tired of seeing everyone but Stanton just roll over weak grounders EVERY F'IN TIME

and that kid missed that splintered bat by 1 seat. Gotta figure the extended netting is going to happen next year. No way MLB takes more risk or liability going forward...

Red Firing Pool
I'm starting to like the idea of Wally getting in that clubhouse this year. Not the long term answer but it'd be fun. Keep him mic'd and I'll watch every game twice even if we are 30 games below .500 https://youtu.be/ZlsVr1ykBqQ

5/7 Post Game
For those wanting to see our signature water-throwing, the walk-off sac is on Marlins.com Jeeez. Jose has them ready at the top railing before the throw. Gotta love the kid in him

Really impressive high school pitcher....3 straight no-nos
Didn't know where to stick this thread and apologize if it was posted elsewhere...BUT.....this guy has pitched 3 straight no hitters. That is pretty remarkable, even if it is just high school competition. http://fhsaa.ezstream.com/index.cfm?ChnID=...FTOKEN=21092360

What is Fredi's problem?
I think those of us that 'hate' Freddi, agree with the principal that wrong decisions can lead to the right result. Yes, we are doing fantastic and have played well beyond our expectations, I still raise an eyebrow at some of the decisions Freddi has made. (Pulling starters early, his love affair with the lefty/lefty matchups despite split stats, reliever carousel in some games, complete overuse of Pinto, etc.) BUT, i will be the first to say that its his job on the line and not mine. He seems to be playing the cards perfectly and I have no problem continuing to "hate" him throughout the playoffs.

Record against teams above .500?
I'm sure its easy to find for those who know where to look. I didn't think it was too big an issue to simply ask the general forums. Rather than instructing me to "look it up yourself", you are more than welcome (or rather encouraged) to not respond at all. (or at least tell me where to look). Though your second half of your post was intriguing in that there is a difference between their record now, compared to their record at gametime. As I said, I prefer their record now. A good example (though a different sport) would be last year when Tennessee beat South Carolina when they were ranked 6th in the nation. At the time, it was a huge victory over a great team. I believe SC ended up finishing .500 and not invited to a bowl. Though baseball is different b/c of the amount of games played, I still prefer to take the hot start / cold start teams out of it. But like I said, the difference between the two shouldnt be that great.
