  1. And his name is Dan Uggla! It really is remarkable that Uggla is on pace for 31 HR and 118 RBI all while he still has a .212 avg. Just imagine if he got that average up. Seems like the kind of thing steroids would enable. High strikeouts, low on base.. decent amount of HR and RBI.
  2. With the abnormally square, yellow body? Yeah, that's him.
  3. We were one break here and one break there from sweeping the Mets, and despite the breaks not going our way, we still went 3-3 against the top two teams in our division. Not a bad road trip, could easily have been 5-1. Hopefully we make up for those missed wins by stealing a few wins this homestand. That's the difference between mediocre teams and good teams. Getting those 'breaks'.
  4. Do we even have a .300 hitter besides Hanley?
  5. We need a big bat.
  6. That's probably game.
  7. This is ridiculous.
  8. Weird.. I like it though.
  9. Gotta be kidding me.
  10. Uggla being 2 feet short on that drive off the wall could haunt us.
  11. I hate this stadium.
  12. Bonifacio should be 7th or 8th.
  13. What's the MLB policy on thunder storms? I forget if they're ok with it or not.
  14. It is not yet. It's very overcast though. Supposed to be scattered T-storms til 11ish.
  15. Can someone please come up with a better insulting nickname for Bonifacio? I can't believe "boner" and "bonerface" are the best that can be made up. Kinda grinds my gears. Yes, sure. His last name's two last syllables are Facil Out ( Spanish translation for Easy Out ) so our leadoff hitter's name actually is: Emilio Boni F?cil out. Thank you. If I see boner written out one more time I'm going to assume I walked into the wrong forum.
  16. Sean West vs Mike Pelfrey Sun Sports-HD Hope it actually gets played. I don't feel like waiting at Citi Field all night.

  18. A groin injury will affect his side to side movement a lot on defense. I agree, take some HGH (if he's not already). If anything, teams with under $50,000,000 payrolls should be allowed to use steroids to level the playing field.
  19. Not a very accurate system, if you asked me.
  20. Volstad is looking nice.
  21. Let's hope so. I'll be at the Mets game Friday getting beer poured on me (hopefully). I'll probably be there as well. What seats do you have? Mets fans are the worst baseball fans on earth. Pepsi Porch. Marlins fans are quite scarce at Citi, I'm sure you'll indirectly see me.

  23. Bonifacio has legit talent. He's just lost his confidence right now and needs to be taken out of that leadoff spot. Throw him at the 8 spot or send him down to AAA for a few weeks and let him gain his confidence back or he's going to struggle all season. I don't see him as being any different than Uggla or Coghlan at the moment. How can he be a legit talent when he has NEVER produced in the minors numbers worthy of being an everyday major leaguer... His talents start, and end with his speed, and what good is speed when you can't hit, and when you do you get thrown out cus your base running skills suck. Uggla every year starts slow, and usually picks it up after May... Ross is about the same kind of hitter so im not worried about them at all. As for as Hermida well he is what he is... But Bonifraudio shouldn't be playing on anyones roster. And Uggla, and Ross are at least productive while they aren't on fire! I mean they at least drive some runs in, and get some clutch hits, and hit home runs which produces numbers for the club. Bonifraudio does nothing but strike out, get thrown out while looking lost standing at first, and boot balls at 3b. (Thought he was supposed to be a defensive upgrade? LIES!!) Like I said, I don't think he should be the leadoff man. I also don't think he's better than Uggla. At the moment, they're all playing like crap. Bonifacio has shown he does have something. I'm not expecting someone with a signature like yours to have much of an open mind when he comes up to bat though.

I don't see him as being any different than Uggla or Coghlan at the moment. I wouldnt say he has legit talent. He has never been projected to be very good, his career in the minors showed his lack of plate discipline, etc. He is very raw, but he has the ability to be dangerous in many facets. He's a weak major league player, but a major league player nonetheless.
