Lol, I knew this would be up already.

Great win for the team, especially beating Moyer. Wes Helms no doubt was the hero, but great job to the bullpen as well. And Volstud of course.

I liked what I saw from Coghlan in the leadoff spot today and if Fredi is smart, he will be there again tomorrow.

Player of the game: Charlie Manuel (not a player, but you get the point), for sending Victorino when he was down by 2 runs and the batter (Stairs) was brought in with the sole purpose of tying the game with a homer

Volstad was pretty solid but Wes gets my vote!

Feels awesome to win 2 in a row! Can't wait to see how it feels to win 3!!!!

  • I really like Coghlan in the leadoff spot. Every ball he hit was hit hard. Bonifacio who?
  • Hermida with another nice night.
  • Helms in the man :thumbup .
  • Volstad had another great outing minus the pig man (Howard)
  • Bullpen looked sharp
  • Overall a nice win for the boys.

So my question is will fredi be able to put boni on the bench again. I liked Coghlan in the leadoff spot with hermi behind him.

I knew we would win with Coghlan leading off and Helms playing 3rd. I remember the day they called up Coghlan and I immediately told 790 that he should lead off because of his above average speed and defense. Now look, Coghlan had two nice hits(along with two other balls that we're hit hard), made a great play in the outfield, and we won. I seriously hope that Fredi sees how much of a joke Bonfacio is.

haha, I know! That was one of the dumbest moves I've ever seen.

I thought that ball was gonna bounce into the outfield.

gotta say Volstad was a huge part of this game. So many times our pitchers have not held our composure, while Volstad shows time and time again that he is the master at keeping a game under control when things look rough early on. My vote went to Volstad.

Great game by Helms though with the big hit.

I highly doubt Manuel sent him, he went on his own

Great job by Volstud.

Wes Helms shoved it up his former teams butt!

Coghlan is looking comfortable in the leadoff spot. Take notes Boni!

Leo looked good after blowing a save and getting the loss against Tampa.

Good for Lindstrom (not the walk to Victorino) but battling and not giving in. I was hoping that he would do pretty good and get his confidence back against ths team.

A big F-U to all those who don't believe in this team.

Woohoo, we beat Moyer!

Without a doubt, Wes Helms is the player of the game. If this is what he does when he gets booed then I hope he gets booed often by fans of opposing teams! What a night for him.

Volstad looked great, the offense actually added on runs and the pen did their job tonight. No complaints. Keep the wins coming!

Note to Fredi: Start Helms when facing Jamie Moyer.

He's had a great history against him, albeit only 10 at-bats

voted for Helms, but I really like what Volstad has been able to do this season. Some projections had him dropping off from his '08 numbers, and it hasn't happened. In fact he's been better in most aspects. Strikeouts are up, walks are down, whip down, Really his only problem has been the long ball.

I can't see how Wes isn't playing 3rd tomorrow, and Coghlan leading off again! I don't know how Fredi could not play those guys again! The line up looked real good tonight.

Wes isn't an every day player. That's how you see it. But I agree, there's no way to defend Bonifacio being in there with both bench players playing better than him.
