I fail to see where he is losing millions. JJ is going to have an incredibly strong arbitration case based on his innings, era, whip, k, etc stats, if the Marlins do not offer him a contract (I find that very likely). JJ isn't losing any money. He isn't being paid for wins, he's being paid for quality innings. I was thinking the same thing reading it.

And his name is Dan Uggla! It really is remarkable that Uggla is on pace for 31 HR and 118 RBI all while he still has a .212 avg. Just imagine if he got that average up. Seems like the kind of thing steroids would enable. High strikeouts, low on base.. decent amount of HR and RBI. enable? But for Uggla, I could understand it if he does take them. So once again, not saying he did them. But his numbers and minor league woes raise a lot of suspicion on my part.

Misconceptions like that are the reason we'll never get beyond steroids. Ignorance is bliss, huh? There's plenty of reasons to believe at least 50% have used or still do use steroids.
