Leo Nu?ez needs to learn to handle pressure. It seems like he either gets the side 1-2-3 or gives up runs, nothing in between.

Rick Ankiel needs to go run into a wall before the next series in September.

Cody Ross ranks 58th out of 68 in UZR among qualified outfielders this year. I know Cody gets praise for his defense, but he has been bad.

Tough loss. Andrew Miller's looked pretty good since coming back from the DL. Another good start wasted, though. Sigh.

Nunez will come around. In order for the marlins to do anything they need to learn how to close out games. Offensively and defensively. I think the house cleaning will start soon. They are just waiting closer to the deadline so that we can get maximum value.

Cody Ross misplaying that ball changed the momentum and pretty much cost us the game.

 

Another strong outing by Andrew Miller and another 2 Hit Game for Hermida, Gload also had a nice day at the plate with the 2 Long balls.

 

Great Start but horrible ending in the game and we lose the series.

Btw, we got no freaking breaks today, either.

That 9th inning was, borderline, hilarious. Cantu's ball hitting the clock, and then Helms ball just staying in enough for Pujols to catch it.

 

The good news is we face Roy Halladay tomorrow. Oh wait...never mind.

I feel so bad for the starters when the BP blows it like this. Miller pitched pretty good today, deserved the win.

that was f***ing terrible and i like the news that sanchez is playing thrid.....bonifacio always seems to come up in big spots and unless he puts it on the ground or line drive he is useless.......really did not expect leo to pitch like that he had been great lately.

 

we just cant get any streak going.

At least miller is pitching well. To bad leo had a bad game today I was so confident going into the 8th and then blam.

 

 

 

Also interesting to hear gabys is playins 3rd a lot. I figure if/when they deal uggla they will move boni to 2nd and put gaby at 3rd.

 

Of course id really like to make the playoffs but if we cant can we at least stay in the hunt for most of the season so its more fun to watch?

I'm not even sure if I can watch the games in this next week. The Blue Jays and Red Sox are great teams at home, they have power pats and some dominant pitchers. Add in the fact that our players won't be too familiar with them and I'm fearful of going 0-6. Hell, the Yankees can't even beat the Red Sox.

We are also historically pretty awful against St. Louis for whatever reason. I think that is the 5th series straight we have dropped to them.
