  1. Hes not pitching at a #4 or #5 level, he has a 5.9 ERA, hes pitching at a scrub mop up long reliever level. Meanwhile, Sanches is pitching great, has the ability to start, and has no significant role in the pen. Why not give it a try???
  2. He really really sucks.............Please tell me why we cant stretch b. sanches out and then put him in the rotation for this scrub
  3. Infante + Dunn + Vazquez > Uggla
  4. Yea def not gonna take Cog's spot but why on earth would he play left
  5. Logan starting in left today. 1. Has he ever played left before? 2. If no, what do you think this means?
  6. easy there buddy
  7. Bringing in all of these guys (veras, Turnbow, Mcclung, Macdougal) definetly doesnt hurt. These bullpen guys are so inconsistent and year to year anyways, so hopefully we cant find some diamonds in the rough.
  8. http://www.miamihera...ry/1487842.html The Florida Marlins bolstered their bullpen Thursday by agreeing to a contract with former Washington Nationals closer Mike MacDougal. Agent Rex Gary said MacDougal, a right-hander, will sign a minor-league contract with an invitation to Marlins spring training. Pitchers and catchers report Friday. After being released by the White Sox on April 30, MacDougal signed with Washington and converted 20 of 21 save chances last season. With the Nationals, he had a 3.60 earned-run average and batters hit .247 against him. MacDougal, 32, began his big-league career with Kansas City and made the All-Star team in 2003. The Marlins have said Leo Nuñez will enter camp as the closer, but MacDougal adds to the bullpen's late-inning depth. Miami Herald
  9. yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss, jj owns
  10. Gload is currently twice the hitter that Scrubmida is, why not give him a shot?????????
  11. START ROSS GLOAD IN RF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. I really think they should give him a few starts here and there and see how he responds. You cant really say that hes to important off the bench to start him if he does play well when they give him some more starts.
  13. Who is out there that we can realistically trade for and would be a serious upgrade??????? I like Freddy Sanchez (I think he has played third before) and the Hammer What do you guys think???
  14. oh yeaaa your right hes has a great career, I think your age has gotten to you and maybe you should retire as a baseball fan. Last year he was sent down mid season b/c he was having such a great year. Also, this year he has been fantastic. To say that he has had a great career as a marlins should result in a complete ban from marlinsbaseball.com. So why dont you let the knowledgeable youth do the talking and go take a nap or drink some prune jucie.
  15. I am as big as a fan of the front office as anyone, and I always defend them. BUT do you guys think that Beinfest's and Hill's ego might be getting in the way of some of these decisions. Emilio's act is really getting old and I just dont see why they atleast cant give Gaby a shot to take away some ABs from Emilio. Even worse is this Lindstrom bulls***. He was awwwwwwwwwwwwwwful all year and the rest of the pen has been great, why on earth would they bring him back as the closer. Lindstrom just isnt that good, all he has is a 97 mph fastball that he cant command and ABSOLUTELY NO COMMAND OF A SECOND PITCH. I can understand the love affair with Emilio but with Lindstrom I just dont get it.
  16. I think he could be a decent bat off the bench but I would much rather have a good RP ( if thats possible)
  17. I disagree with you guys that think the acquisitions of ayala and Donnely indicate that we arent looking for any more pen help. Obvisouly we are going to have to see the progress of the two but you can always use more back end pen help (especially when you dont have a clear cut closer)
  18. Left handed power threat.................haaaaaaaaaaaaa Trading him for bullpen help would be great, I just don't think there is anyone stupid enough to trade a good back end reliever for him
  19. hmmmmmm.......seems like not that long ago I was vilified for saying Hermida sucks and carroll should be starting.......Lets fast forward about 3 weeks or so and what do you know, they are now platooning (which by the way indicates the fact that Hermida sucks) and Caroll is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy outplaying that scrub Hermida. Gonna have to say I look like the early winner on that one. Score: jerus9703 and the rest of the Hermida realists- 1 All of you bias marlin fans who cant objectively analyze marlins players (Hermida supporters)- 0
  20. Look at his wikipedia page, didnt know some of that
  21. Wow, I'm stunned the overwhlming majority still wants him protecting leads. I'm not. Lindstrom's always been a bit of a board favorite. I would hope that performance would be the driver here and given that among the regular relievers he has the highest WHIP and OPS allowed and even the highest ERA I would think people would be apprehensive about having him protect leads. I guess not. Some of you guys are so biased towards the marlins and their players that your evaluations of the players are just awwwful. How could anyone possibly want Lindstrom to close out games.
  22. In the role Kiko Calero was being, wrongly, used/wasted in.
  23. Hermida is nothing more than a slightly below average MLB outfielder........Time for some of you to accept it.
  24. At least get scrub Emilio out of there.
