The hitting stats for the Marlins AAA players is way overated and alot of people give them to much weight. Havent we learned this from Chris Aguila, Eric Reed, Brett Caroll, Jason Wood, Joe Dillon....... All of these guys absolutely killed the ball in Alb. and didnt do a dam thing int he majors. So calling for Mcpherson based on his AAA stats is a waste of breath.

With Jones coming up do you guys think we will see a good amount of Alfredo at 3B. I am not bashing Cantu, (hes been solid) but Alfredo would be such an upgrade defensively. I really beleive the team's biggest weakness is the D and it really has to improve. Yea it might take away a little pop but dont you guys think a little offesnive lost would be worth a very big defensive gain. I think it would be a really good idea to play Alfredo alot more at 3B

Its pretty humorous that all of a sudden all of the sports commentators are saying that the marlins are "for real". Wow these guys should win noble prizes. Its really hard to say that they are for real after they win 7 in a row and have the best record in baseball. Struggled mightily last year, yet the Angels stuck with his potential, and he's 5-0 this year, after experiencing growing pains last year. ...and I could continue naming pitchers, who weren't successful early on, and grew up to become good pitchers. Heck, our own, Scott Olsen has done it so far, this year. It's WAY TOO EARLY TO EVALUATE THIS TRADE. Maybin is 21 years old. Miller is 22 years old. Wait at least 2-3 YEARS...then evaluate. Also, I think Badenhop has good stuff, and could develop into a good end of the rotation starter for us. He showed some flashes today, and I think he has a very good sinker. Don't give up on him, either, just yet. Agreed. Also, Badenhop had few pitches today that were downright filthy.

Certainly Miller isn't pwning, but he is also getting no help. With some sound defense we might be looking at a 1-1 game. That again is Beinfest's fault. There have been plenty of times this year where they have had 1st and 2nd with no out and the inning has ended with those guys on first and second.............

#1 Amezaga should play everyday-----for defensive purposes eventhough he isnt great from the right side. Nothing against Uggla at all but I think you need to play a little small ball with that spot Cody plays better defense in CF. Better arm and doesn't overrun fly balls. #2 I think the whole---this team cant play small ball statement is nonsense----people complain how they cant produce runs and move runners (yesterday perfect example)----I think part of the reason is that for the most part Fredi doesnt like small ball......Yea these are power hitters that we have but when you have 1st and 2nd and no out Hermida, Treanor, Cantu, and the P should bunt every single time if the game situation warrants it. The pitcher does always bunt in that situation. What are you talking about? The only times I've seen pitchers swing is with no one on base or sometimes with 2 strikes. Heck, Fredi even has them bunting with 2 strikes half the time... I also dont think scrub Hermida should hit 3......Hammer is clearly the teams second best hitter and I truly have more confidence in a healthy Jacobs that Hermida A matter of opinion that will make you unpopular over here. I dont mind Hanley hitting 1st......We moved him to 3 last year and he didnt hit quite as well, that being said Im not really against moving him to the 3 hole.......My two main problems are hitting Uggla 2 and Hermida 3............Hermida hasnt proved anything in this league so why hit him 3....As Tommy once so graciously stated "Make him earn it".....Lastly, why Alfredo isnt hitting 2 is beyond me......I truly beleive he should be starting everyday and hitting two.
